perfect shimmer !!
This Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in the shade Diffused Light is my holy grail. Once I discovered this powder I've not used anything else. I'd read about how wonderful they were so one day at Sephora I decided to take a look. I tried out all the shades and while they were all beautiful, Diffused Light was the best for my very pale skin. I decided to buy a mini and after that I purchased the full size compact. Hourglass products are expensive, yes, but they last a VERY long time. The mini palette lasted me months! The full size palette I've had almost a year and I've barely made a dent in it despite the fact I use it every single day. So if you're hesitant on the price I promise you will absolutely get the quality and value that makes it a worthwhile purchase. In terms of the powder itself, I love it because it perfects my skin. It gives me flawless, airbrushed look with very little product. This means it never get cakey because you don't need to pile it on to get gorgeous results. The powder is so soft and finely milled but it's not delicate. I've dropped the compact a few times and screamed because I figured it would shatter but it survived (unlike my Becca Highlighter which I merely lay down I bit too hard and it shattered). While the Ambient Lighting Powders don't claim to be blurring I absolutely get a blurring effect from it. The Diffused Light has some light shimmer to it but it's not obnoxious. It's so subtle that it gives me a slightly luminous, radiant effect. Honestly, when I want to feel really pretty and put together this is my go to.This Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in the shade Diffused Light is my holy grail. Pricey but Does What It Says; Worth It!
OK I'm sold. I really, really didn't want to pay the price the product costs. I hated it. I tried other "versions" of highlighter. I couldn't get the results like the lady in the Hourglass video so I finally broke down and bought this one. And yes, it makes a difference. First the palette was larger than I anticipated (yay). They do warn you to handle the case with care as the product can break easily. The three colors are strikingly different. I thought they'd be too similar but they work beautifully in different ways. And they do exactly as they are touted to do - highlight without looking TOO much like you've highlighted. You don't end up with large white or shiny streaks. It just makes a subtle glow. I hope they lower the price someday but I will have to buy it again once I run out - and that's the other nice thing: it will take awhile to run out. It doesn't take much to glow! If you are on the line about paying this much money, I can tell you that it is one product that is worth the expense.

Does as it’s named beautifully
So I yearned for this little guy since I was a teen when they first launched it. Note that these are not regular highlighters at all! Finishing powders are meant to look very subtly shimmery, but mostly blurring. After trying it now I understand what the fuss is about! Though it’s pricey, it truly is a beautiful silky formula in a luxurious looking case, and the powders themselves give such a healthy glowing 3D airbrush effect to your look. If you’re a complexion lover you won’t be disappointed, this is a no brainer.Shades: *Dim Light* is the least shimmery of all looking nearly-matte because it’s so finely milled, it gives a very blurring effect that’s great for all over the face or areas where you want to mesh things in a bit more. *Incandescent Light* is the lightest and probably my favorite having a lighter complexion, it’s the most shimmery too, as I recall this powder is meant for more intense lighting and a very “pure” golden white glow from within type of shimmer, worked beautifully as a highlighter topper and under the eyes. Last but definitely not least is *Radiant Light*, which is a marriage between gold and warm bronze, used alone it’s the world’s softest most diffused bronzer, but on top of other products it layers beautifully and adds an enlightened sexy warmth.Personally I like using the powders overtop of all of my makeup (including the shimmer) when I’m done, using different shades to contour different areas. I unfortunately cannot speak on behalf of the deeper palette, but in general if you want to gift yourself and get a luxurious add-on product that makes for a very silky uniform finish, step into the light!

Highlighter and more
I bought this highlighter, even though from the photo I thought it might be too pale to do anything. I was looking for a lighter, summer look. Even though the colors look pale, they do show a lovely subtle glow for under the cheek bones, cheeks and highlighter. which goes on with more depth than you'd think. I was happily surprised at the effect. I also use it as an eyeshadow, along with a smokey grey for the crease in and over my upper eyelid ,and on top of a thin line of mascara. It works beautifully! I'm so thrilled to find a product that can do all this, softly, smoothly and affectively. Not much product is needed to achieve the glowing effect, and it is buildable if you want more color. This will be my go-to for eyes and face from now on. I love this product!

Too pricey? WORTH IT!
My skin is good at 75 and due to good genes, little sun and good skin care, it paid off, II've used mid range skin care all my life. BUT, after seeing this on YouTube several times. my instincts kicked in and I splurged. It's fine milled, pigmented but not too much and I've stopped using foundation at least for awhile. It's now worth the price because it makes my skin look beautiful. Glad I listened to my instincts.
