I'll use it for everything from lacquers to marine and even aerospace coatings.I can go on-site with a turbine unit or work in the shop on compressed.Top or bottom feed, I can even relocate the air inlet to the back of the gun for over the shoulder work.The amount of micro air holes on the cap is impressive.Looking forward to Monday for the first time in my adult working life.

I have high hopes for this gun. Looks good, feels good. Haven't used it yet. I do gotta say I'm disappointed it only comes with one cap and one needle. 1.0.For $560 I automatically figured it came with other needle sizes and nozzles. Even harbor fright gives you that with their Avante.

I am a professional cabinetmaker, and own guns by Titan & 3M in addition to this Apollo. I'm using an older 3M 5 stage turbine. The Apollo is by far the best of the 3 guns. The ergonomics are excellent, and the controls for the fan, air, and liquid are very effective and precise. I love that I can dial in the 3 independently as well. The gun is also very easy to clean. It comes with a very nice stainless filter on the pickup tube.If I had to come up with a complaint it would be that the one-way valve for the air to pressurize the cup is pretty weak, and I had to replace it after just a gallon or two of spraying.I contacted Apollo after finding the fan to be a little offset after the first few uses, and they were extremely responsive and correctly diagnosed my problem--I hadn't cleaned the air cap sufficiently, despite it looking clean. Once I did a better job of cleaning it the gun went right back to delivering a perfect fan.I'm leaving this review as a put another gun in my shopping cart so I can have a separate one to spray water-based poly.
