When it's time to put the hole in the back of the cabinet door, drilling in the wrong place can ruin a door. A tool like this can save time and reduce the chance of error by making it easy to mark the center for the forstner bit.1. Contrary to the description, this tool will not work on all doors. It will work on doors with rectangular edges, but NOT on doors with rounded edges because the ledger on the back of the tool is too shallow.2. Different hinge manufacturers to not all specify the same offset from the edge of the door. Mine hinges required at 20.5mm offset edge-to-center (35mm/2+3mm); this tool assumes one size fits all and marks the offset at (35mm/2mm+5mm) -- an additional 2mm that could result in interference between the door and the cabinet.3. As others have noted, the tool is very pricy. If you're handy enough to be putting up cabinet doors you can probably make your own template, which I did after this tool fell short of my needs.

I finally got around to building my wife a mobile kitchen island that she's been asking for. I wanted to take the time to do it right - and this included using Euro hinges (which I've never used before). After researching jigs and templates, I found this Hingemark product. I checked out their Youtube video and headed over the Amazon to purchase it. A week later, I put it to use on my project and bingo! My hinges lined up perfectly. One thing to note is the you may have to remove the rotating "stops" to use it on your project - depending on what you are building. It was so simple to use and made the job a breeze.

I am new to installing this type hinge. But, for whatever reason, I found that this is not a universal tool, and is not compatible with the brand hinges I purchased (Liberty). I may have misread the description, but whatever, the product is not compatible with the hinges I have. Looks like a good idea, though.

I've used this on three different projects and it causes inaccurate marking. There is error built in to the device where the rotating guides meet the jig's body, almost an 1/8th of inch. When you use the rotating guide on the door and then move it out of the way on the case it creates enough difference that you will need to reposition the bottom hinge more than the hinge's built in slide. It's a shame I didn't send this back for a refund when I first got it, enough time goes by in between projects that I forget about the defect until I try to hang the doors. It's in the garbage now!

I am not a cabinet maker but I was wonder how to install the euro hinge and I do not want to take any chances to drill and not to do it correctly that will damage the door if I don't do it the wright way but I decided to purchase this template and my experience to use it was great I could not belief that was so easy .

This is an ingenious product, very accurate for measuring hinge placement. It would have earned 5 stars but it is too expensive for the 3 pieces of plastic and 6 nails it took to make it.

This works really well. I went to Hingemark's website to try and find out what hinges would work. There were no recommendation on their site or in any of the Amazon reviews. In the end I went with these https://amzn.com/B004K807JC and they worked perfectly. This is for frameless cabinets only.
