Q: whats the main differences between this and the renegade rss?

1) The Renegade RSS has a tighter weave. 2) The laptop pocket of the Renegade RSS zips down about 20% of the way and you can hardly open up the compartment; the equivalent pocket of the Gambit zips down to the bottom of the backpack and can thus be opened completely. 3) The Renegade RSS is more padded (but the Gambit is still well-padded).

Q: Good for big guy in High school? Im 6'2' and a bit bulky. How will this do for holding textbooks and stuff?

Yes. Absolutely. In fact with its capacity there will be a tendency to pack more in here so you might need to be a big guy. I am 6'1" and 280

Q: My msi laptop is 16.5x11x1.5 will this bag fit my laptop?

Dunno about specific dimensions. My 17.3 inch Gigabyte and Asus laptops do NOT fit. I ended up getting the THULE 32L bag. It's very capacious.

It does not have a luggage pass through. It does have a handle strap on top.

This is one backpack I was looking to get from OGIO answering my requirements of a high quality large backpack that does not break the bank!Albeit new, one can comment that the product seems to be well built and made to last. Uploaded pics are with a laptop and clothes good for 3 days. Weight distribution is good to not put added strain on your back.
