This book was very well written. It breaks down all the REQUIREMENTS before building. It makes you really think about stuff that you thought you knew and didn't about building a shed. I want to build a blacksmith shop by myself; I am female. My background is project management. I love this book. I have a dear friend who is a builder and his motto is that "there are 50 ways to build a dog house." This covers everything you can imagine when it comes to building. Bravo!

Loved this book, larger than I was expecting which is great! I build a chicken house from this book which turned out spectacular!Highly recommend this book as it contains much needed information when planning your next shed,barn or chicken house.

It’s actually a very well written and comprehensive book. I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two.The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however. $800 for the shed with shop and pergola? How about $50?Oh, and 10/10 old man hank here is flipping off his neighbors again… wait, what?! P.285.

It’s ok, and helpful in general. The book lacks detail in the areas where a DIY type might need it. For example, how do you finish a lean to type shed roof at the high end when using shingles? It’s ok, but could be more detailed for the price. It has a lot of shed plans available for purchase in the back of the book. If you buy those plans I assume you get the detail.

I actually returned but only because my plans changed. The return process was a breeze

We deconstructed an addition (structure on the right) to our cottage so that we could add a perimeter wall foundation. We saved the material and, based on this book, we’re confident we have 90% of what we need to build a shed. Yay

More of a step-by-step guide on construction techniques. Can be useful for some inspiration. Also has some plans. But practicality is limited. Information is not very detailed.

El libro es útil para recoger ideas para nuestro proyecto, en mi caso una casita en el jardín, en este libro hay ideas para todo tipo de construcciones, pero no me voy a poner a construir una casa, con un pequeño cobertizo suficiente.
