I thought I have a defective unit until I used a real brand batteries...
Strange things are happening with this unit. Works best with energizer. Some brands even though display shows them being nearly full (even though theyre new -from freshly opened pack) it just wont work! Put in duracell I had in remote so it was used, nope! Energizer it wants. So I purchased energizers just for this fine ass picky machine.Capacity of the liquid soap it holds is great! Whats not so great on the other hand, is the amount itll spit in your hands. First you need to motion activate it 3 times in order to get the soap sucked all the way to the outlet nozzle, and then on 4th activation, itll start pouring the soap in your hand. And the amount is so tiny, like a size of a dime! So another 2 motion activations. Lengthy! Not to mention that the pump will stop working once you take your hand away from underneath the motion detection system. So the first three motions till the soap makes it from the bottom to the top through the empty tube, were talking at least 8 seconds! Okay, this prevents overspill which could be pain to clean later, but at least give it some juice, or a better motor for the pump system. The timing is definitely wrong on this unit. Instead of 3 separate activations, they could program it to be one simple operation, it would solve a lot of confusion as guests thought the dispenser is empty which is kinda, embarrassing. Or is it just me?The good side of this unit is its motion pickup. It really picks up anytime you put your hand in there and stops the moment you pull it out. But their diodes placement is so perfect that theres no more soap dripping down once you pull your hand off. Its an instant that other dispensers may fail in to recognize and pour even tiniest drop of soap on sink and once it dries, good luck! I would be annoyed so in this regard, this machine is still a winner.

Stopped working a few weeks a purchasing
Worked great the first few weeks.... Now I get one drop of soap and it's on the highest setting. Put new batteries in. Cleaned it. Still won't give more than one drop off soap. Very disappointed but now it's a few weeks past when product can be returned so I've wasted my money on something that doesn't work. I do not recommend this at all.Sadly out of years of Amazon purchases and this is my first negative review. I don't want others wasting their money on a product that only works a few weeks....buyer beware

It works, but some quirks
#1: go out and purchase replacement screws for the battery compartment cover. I used #4 3/8 inch I had running around but a little longer would have been better. You can take the original screws to the store to be sure. The original screws were so bad I almost didn't get them out without stripping them. New screws and that problem is fixed. It detects motion, but if it has been sitting for a while it takes two passes for the soap to get flowing. I'm using Dawn dish soap on the medium setting. Stick your hand under, let it cycle. Remove your hand and stick it under again. it seems like it will be fairly easy to clean. If you fix the screws and don't mind waiting a few seconds for your soap it is fine.

Sometimes soap won't dispense
This soap dispenser is great to use! I've been lagging on buying a normal push-down soap dispenser for my kitchen sink because I wanted to get something that was automatic. It is such a convenience to have when your hands age full and you need an extra squirt of soap to finish cleaning for dishes. My only issue with this soap dispenser is that after it has been sitting idle for a while (I'm talking like 1 or 2 minutes here), when you try to go use it again, the first time it tries to dispense the soap nothing comes out so you need to activate it again to receive it. Although it is a small flaw, I mainly bought this for the convenience and having a flaw like this makes it a big more of an inconvenience.

QUIT AFTER 1 YEAR
UPON on arrival the dispenser took some work to get to work properly. Once I got it set up - it worked quite well AND would work until a refill, then it would work till another fill and then difficulty. However AFTER 1 year it QUIT COMPLETELY. No amount of trying to get it to function worked. New batteries, removing the soap, refilling the soap, Pushing the ON forever and still nothing. so I guess after a year at about a $1.00 a month, its disposable.

Disappointing
I’ve had this soap dispenser for about 48 hours and I’m already disappointed. It clearly states that you can use any liquid soap with it but the soap I prefer (Sofsoap brand) seems to be too thick for it to handle. On the highest dispensing setting, I have to activate it twice to actually get enough soap to wash my hands. It is also extremely slow at dispensing the tiny amount it does dispense. There is also an error printed on the box. It says that the dispenser takes 3 AAA batteries, however, it takes 3 AA.

First best choice!
The motion sensor dispenser has been a great value add to our home protection motto for this year! Guests seem to be loving it too and there have been many followers already that purchased the same! Easy to use and clean, all in one shot! U don’t need to be bothered about touching the cap or nozzle with dirty hands anymore!!!

Inconsistent but cheap
I would give this 5 stars for my personal use but I know others would find that deceptive. It’s inconsistent in its disputsent of soap and if you screw the bottom battery cover all the way in its actually displaces the batteries and make itNOT work (sorry quality control)BUT I use it for dishwasher soap and it’s got a large reservoir, looks great and could care less about the inconsistencies because of the value!
