Great tent
This tent was my Christmas present this year… I love camping, but our previous tent did not allow us to stand up straight and it allowed rain in – so, we decided to purchase this tent and see if we could have a better camping experience. We did an initial test run last week in our back yard, and so far, we are very happy. We looked at both the regular WeatherMaster and the Elite WeatherMaster. The only differences we could find were: Elite is blue vs. the tan, and the Elite has an included tent light.Pros:-My husband (6’2”) could stand without being hunched over. The screened area is lower, so he did crouch just a bit in that room.-Decent size. We were able to put 2 of the Kamp-rite oversize cots, but it makes it very tight if you are just using the main tent. Oh, and the Amazon listing (at least at time of this review) says the dimensions are 17 x 19. That is a typo – it is supposed to say 17 x 9. The screen room is about 6’, so that leaves 11 feet x 9 in the main tent area. Really don't see how this could be a 6 person tent unless you are all laying in mummy bags on the floor.-Keeps out the rain. The first day we put it up we sprayed it with Camp Dry – one coat. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QTYI8RI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00. We left the tent out for 5 days. One day we accidentally left the windows open overnight during a fairly heavy rain. We ended up with just a few drops in the tent. The following night we had a heavy storm – lots of rain and winds 20-25. We had no rain in the tent in the morning (windows were closed that night).-Easy to put up. My husband put this up in less than an hour, but we just took our time – reading the directions and checking things out. I would guess it would take us about 15 minutes the next time. Taking it down took 10 minutes – getting it in the bag took 5.-Good quality. The material and all of the seams seem of great quality that will withstand pulling.-Zippered electric cord access in corner of tent-Self rolling windows. You put in the metal pieces (and take them out for packing) that will put the windows into a nice roll when lowered. Love them.-Screened room. There is just enough room for 2 camp chairs and a small table. There is no floor in the room and it’s just screened. So, if it rains, whatever is in there will probably get wet. It’s nice that there is no floor, as this allows the water to drain out. We plan to use an outdoor rug in that room. There is a zippered screen that fully zips closed (middle and bottom) AND a privacy screen that zippers down the middle. So, you can just close off the area with the screen (for better air flow) in nicer weather, or close them both up.-Love the hinged door. Very easy to go in and out (I hate having to zip and unzip in other tents). There is a bit of a step to get in and out of the tent – for some reason my dog stressed about that every time she went in or out. '-LED light. We installed the D batteries and it worked perfectly. You can also use rechargeable batteries. There are 3 selections – bright, low, and amber.Cons:Our tent did NOT have the cooler access – the instructions say there is access, but there’s not. I also saw other review pics with the access there, but those were from a few years ago. So, maybe this is a newer model? Regardless, there was definitely no access in our tent.

Best camping experience
This was a excellent choice for my family. We easily fit a queen bed in the 2 room area with lots of space for walking around and our gear. The tent has a room divider you can hang in the middle to make it a 2 room tent (not counting the screened room). The screen room can be completely sealed off from the tent area with a screened door that zips in the middle and bottom. It also has a privacy door that hangs over the screen door (does not zip on bottom). The screen room is very roomy and does not have a floor. We used the screen room for our dogs and it worked great. There is a 6 inch flat area on the edges of the screen room we set rocks on so the dogs couldn't crawl out. This tent has 3 doors: one separating tent and screen room, one from the outside to the screen room and one from the tent to the outside. The one from the tent to the outside comes with poles which make it a rigid door and has Velcro and/or a zipper seal. This makes it very easy getting in and out of the tent. The windows have a neat trick that lets them roll up or down automatically when you zip them. You do have to install the part that rolls up the windows every time you assemble/disassemble the tent. There is a awesome light in the tent that has a 4 D battery pack (you can buy a rechargeable pack for it as well). Light was very bright and has a back lit switch next to the door making it very easy to turn on/off. There are 3 light settings, one yellow which deters the bugs. Assembly was very easy with 2 people and the tent seemed very sturdy. Came with standard cheap stakes, but we had assumed this and purchased some 10 inch stakes which worked way better. Tent does have to be staked to keep its form correctly.I would recommend this tent to anyone that likes easy camping. We had decent weather, however the rain fly is very nice and floors come up almost a foot so I would trust this tent in rainy or snowy weather. The one thing that Coleman kind of ticked me off was going cheap on the power supply they offer with this tent. The Coleman CPX power supply that the batteries fit in is normally sold with the power out (for the light in this tent) and a USB charge port for phones or whatnot. However, for the power supply with this tent, they made it look exactly like the normal one, but left out the USB port. Not really related to the tent itself, but as a techy person, I thought it was important to bring up.A great buy for sure. I was stuck between this one and a Coleman instant, but I am glad I went this route. Tent should last us for years!
