I've purchased this product for years--it adds texture and "stylability" (not a real word) to my hair. It add a bit of "oomph" (not a real word either).

I loved Smooth Out, by Scruples, but they quit making it. This product is a little “too stiff” for me.

I've used this for several years and it's not flaky or stiff - it just helps you get the "look" you're after. If you haven't used this before, start off with a very small amount - maybe a heaping teaspoon full. I think you can use a small amount and get the right effect. If that wasn't enough, then use a little more next time but you can use too much of a good thing and you don't want to do that with this hair product. The stock got low several months ago and I looked everywhere for it - finally found it and it's the only one I really want to use. Love it!

Works great on my Thick wavy hair. I use it when I just want to wash and go. Leaves my hair feeling good and not a hard crunch. Frizz free too!
