A technique for producing ideas: A simple five step formula for producing ideas

Short but valuable
Yes, it gives you the 5 step system...no magic here. Good examples and anecdotal information. My only gripe is it reads a bit like a doctoral dissertation, or something written in the 1930's - I can't easily find the original publication date, but it obviously predates the computer era.Ad-men like the legendary Porter Stansfield have used this method to come up with multi million earning campaigns like the one about investing in fiber optic cable companies (when they started) by comparing them to getting in on the ground floor of the railroad system and creating visions of you becoming the next robber-baron. So it works, if you work the system. However, there's not really any detailed "how-to" here. This is a general "what" to do book.If you are looking for specific exercises in idea-generation, you may be much more satisfied with a book like Michalko's Thinkertoys.

Simple Yet Profound
The principles inside this book are not new, not complicated yet profound. Whether they are New to you or are a refresh of things you already knew, it is well worth the small investment of money and time to read and then put these principles into action.

Quick
This was quick & to the point. It opened up a new realm of curiosity for me. Specifically, don’t discount the small ideas you may have. Use your curiosity to research the idea to exhaustion. Play with it. Then when you can’t come up with anything else, let it all incubate and the real idea will form. From there, it will need molding and some fine tuning. But whatever you do, don’t give up. See it through to completion.

Quick creative read
This book is a short, quick read on how to develop ideas. It’s one I’ve studied many times, but this little book helped remind me of the four stages in developing creative thought. Great for anyone who lacks creativity, but is looking for ways to become more so.

Glad it wasn’t 300 pages
I hate books because they are slowPowerful straight to the point. Just don’t forget what he says because it works!I used to follow this book naturally as a very creative person but now I think I will be able to x2-x5 my creativity being aware of how my mind runs.
