SavarezClassical Guitar Strings (520J)

My great teacher, both a concert classical player as well as a fine jazz guitar had me try these,many decades ago.I've tried a lot of other's, but there have a great attack for flemenco rolls and such.My favorite part is how sweet the trebles sound. Bass is fat and crisp.Loud, clear, sweet, responsive.And they LAST. i rarely change strings, waiting for one to break or the intonation goesoff. I can not remember a case of one of these strings breaking less than a year old,and on some guitars I've left them on for years.They sound best after a week or so of sitting an being retuned dozens of times.However, you can cheat, tune the strings, then hold them down and stretch themand return them. Repeat a few times.I would like to try their newer crystal strings and see if they don't sacrifice tone.I've tried variation of Pro Art strings, they just don't have the same beautiful sweetness.With my beginner to intermediate students I say screw tradition and get ball endsas I can change them (or they can) in less than 1/2 the time. Of theball ends Martin Silverplated classical ball ends seem best.However, Saverez are a great string maker, also making stringsfor string instruments called Corelli. Corelli 360 were the firstUpright Bass string that was equally good with a bowor pizicatto using low tension exotic alloy strings.So Saverez is part of a family of innovative, highest quality strings.However, for players looking to improve their sound and feel,in over 50 years I have not found a better classical string.Absolutely worth a try. Haven’t played with these for a while, maybe a few years. Been using some half priced strings I came across on Amazon. But they kept breaking early, so I figured I’d stop being cheap and buy these again, since I had remembered them lasting much longer. That’s when I realized what I’d been missing. I’ll never skimp on strings again, these sound just great.

Savarez J (Yellow Card - High Tension) are the only nylon strings I have used for 50 years. They are consistently high quality.

I have been using Savarez for a while and they are really producing outstanding quality. This very high tension strings will be the perfect couple for my spanish classical guitar. I sdtrongly recommned them!

I haven't used Savarez in decades, decided to give them a spin. The intonation is fine, the trebles are clear enough, but these are unexpectedly the noisiest strings I have ever played. The finger noise on both hands is completely unacceptable. I'll wear them out in a week, and out they go.

Extra crisp sound, high volume. I was used to the P1 sets, but this one has mono filament nylon that is less 'noisy' than the braided cords. Savarez is my favorite brand.
