Empty audio shells, for audio cassette tape repair (pack of 12)

With three old (ancient?) cassette tapes that had been binding up and not playing correctly already transferred to these new shells and playing perfectly, I now have a way to keep my favorite cassette tapes going - and playing - much longer, maybe forever. With many more aging audio cassettes in my library, and some almost certain to fail over time, I'm sure I'll eventually use the remaining nine shells (which came in a pack of twelve) and, probably, end up ordering some more. The new shells are perfect, permitting every tape I've transferred to them to play without any problems, indicating they are well made to close tolerances. A very useful item to have on hand for anyone who, like me, still has a significant portion of his or her music library on audio cassette tapes.

I have no idea how to use this product except from what some reviewers have written. Not one piece of paper came with this to tell me how to use it. I don't understand how companies can sell stuff without directions. I bought 1/8" tape too for it, & no directions came with that either. I need to repair a fragile cassette tape with music from a band I was in with my brother from the 1980's. The tape got twisted & I just cannot manuever it to straighten out. Very discouraged.

Ironically, I couldn't review this product right away because I misplaced the audio tape I needed to load into one of them. So they sat in my office for years before I could try them out. Well, the tape showed up when I wasn't looking for it, so I got out the product. It worked like a charm. Very easy to use, and the broken tape I fixed with the cassette kit is now playable.

These shells worked well for us and allowed us to transfer some old audio cassette tapes that were having binding issues. The only downside was that we received one shell where one of the screws was stripped and couldn't be secured. So, I am not sure of their longevity, but these shells have served us well as a short-term option to get audio tapes transferred.​

I have a lot of old audio cassette tapes that no longer play in their original shells. These empty shells allow me to play them again. I especially like how easy they are to take apart and re-assemble after placing a tape in them.

I was a little disappointed with the description. I did not expect to get a dozen used and erased promotional tapes. But the item came in a timely manner and I was able to buy some leader tape to make it work.

I had a bunch of cassettes with original music on them but the tapes were binding and would not play. These new cases helped alleviate that problem. Now I can copy them digitally.

Work as expected. If you need cassette shells as I did, these work fine.
