Less than ideal as a security strap for a camera or lens, due to the cord being extremely thin and so doesn't give ANY confidence it would support any weight or sudden pulling. Wont be able to be used as intended then, very disappointed.Probably okay to use to (double) secure something not valuable, or very light in nature on a backpack etc.Wouldn't purchase again.

These tethers aren't too bad but they are a bit thin compared to other tethers I have owned, they will secure a camera and stop it coming off your strap but I wouldn't put a big camera ie.1DXIII and 800 mm lens combo on it as it might be a bit heavy other than that they are well made and good for smaller cameras etc.

These are as described and strong enough to support a medium sized camera / lens. I’ve got something similar but in a ‘pop open’ format on an existing over the shoulder strap. The only slight drawback with this type is they take a few seconds to screw up / unscrew if you regularly remove the strap as I do.. if you don’t..then no problem!

Very good safety device, especially if your camera harness uses those attachments that screw into the tripod thread beneath your camera. If the tripod screw attachment comes loose, these wires will save your valuable camera from dropping on the pavement, overboard the ship, or down the mountain. They won't get in your way when using your camera. A good safety precaution.

The tether will do the job. The cord appears to be fairly thin and does curl and twist in use if you’re not careful. Weakness due to wear and tear might be come an issue with extended use, only time will tell.

The cord itself will be useful but the carbiner is useless because it’s impossible to thread a Black rapid strap through the ridiculously small opening. I bought replacement carbiner, so quite expensive bits of cord really

A decent product but I have replaced the screw link with a snap hook to make it quicker to release the camera

These are really good quality, and very secure even with a big lens!
