The Satyajit Ray Collection Vol.2 [DVD]

These films are a delightful collection of three of Satyajit Ray's lesser known films. These films as with all Ray's films are about people and their relationships with each other and clearly defined characters - qualities that are hard to find in films today. It is nothing new to any fan of Ray to say that he is master storyteller and as with other films I became totally engrossed in these ones. Consequently I find it difficult to review his films from any other perspctive. Or perhaps that itself is a measure of the quality of his work.If you love to see stories told through the media of film then you shold consider watching these films.

Aaah, to see REAL movies. There hasn't been a real movie made since about 1979. Anyway, these 3 by Ray are a delight to watch on a lazy sunday. Say no to whatever your friends say you must do and just sit down with refreshments and bask in another world. A rare pleasure.Kaparush is my favourite.
