Comedy Platinum!
I'm a fan of just about everything Matt Berry has done. I've watched the series, Toast of London, twice. I got Toast on Toast on Audible, and it's hysterical. If you liked the series, you'll like the book.I'm sure reading the book is funny too, but I can't help but think that anyone reading it is missing out of Berry's extremely funny performance.

If you can't remember the last time you laughed out loud reading, buy this book now
I was concerned that this book might turn out to be a cheap ghostwritten knockoff aimed at earning quick cash.I could not have been more wrong! This book is the funniest thing I have read in years. I was laughing out loud reading it. People thought there was something wrong with me. Well there probably is.Highly, highly recommended. And if you are jonesing for some real Toast after 5 years, get the audiobook!

Just hilarious
Every chapter reads like one of the great episodes on Toast of London. You can hear Matt Berry’s voice with every paragraph as the melodramatic Toast, lumbering on about this and that and crashing with a vulgarity laced tirade that will make you laugh out loud. This is an excellent read that will keep any Steve Toast fan happy.

Loved this!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Hilarious. Being an American, it took me awhile to catch on to Steven Toast, and this book was just a joy. Buy it.

It's OK.
I watched the Toast series when they were on Netflix some years ago. I saw this offering on Amazon and thought it would be fun to listen to.The series is OK, just OK.First, it is pretty short. So, be aware that this is not really a full, feature length audio book.Second, I have been listening to British audio since the Good Show (a long time), and I am almost always able to understand what the characters are saying. I found myself struggling to decipher Matt Berry's dialogue at times - well, frequently.Third, the narrations just were not as funny as I remember the Toast TV shows. Part of that is that Matt played on the TV shows with an ensemble, and that helped terrifically.Think of other shows with a dunce for comic relief. There is almost always a foil for the idiocy either trying to keep the silly person out of trouble or taking advantage in a humorous way. The Goon Show had Echols. You had the star of the Pink Panther. Perhaps the epitome was Wooster and Jeeves, where Jeeves was (mostly) getting Wooster out of a pickle of his own making.Toast just bumbles along, getting into more and more dire, avoidable scrapes, and you are cringing listening. All in all, I recommend that you get this one from the library audio program rather than spend your hard-earned Quid on on.
