Vic FirthAmerican Custom SD11 Slammer

I really like the feel of X55B’s in the hand and have been running them for around 5 or so years. But I always found the taper to be a little short and as a result, they feel a little front-heavy. These have the same diameter as a X55B, about a 1/4” shorter and a much longer taper. And because they’re maple, they’re so light in the hand and well balanced with a long taper, they really give you speed and finesse. Sadly, these broke THE DAY I got them. It seems like the softer maple can’t handle rim-shotting. Overall, I still think these are my favorite sticks. But they are not durable if you’re a metal player.

My new go to stick. Perfect weight, length and feel for me. Also the tips help you get a nice attack out of the drum. It's around a 5b size. Haven't broken any yet unexpectedly. They wore down slowly and then broke when they were getting so skinny I knew it was coming.

ドラムスティックならお馴染みの VIC FIRTH。SD11は余り店頭に置いてないのでネット注文しました。他のスティックに比べると、比較的にかくる少し太いです。ですが、チップがピックのティアドロップみたいになっているので、叩く角度によって音がすごく変わるので、そのさじ加減や叩き方は慣れるしかありませんが、良い音色を出すのを意識したらいい発見をすると思われます。欠点が、すぐに折れてしまいやすいです。叩き方が悪いかもしれませんが、一か月に一本は折れてしまうので、耐久性は低いかも……
