Price is Amazing!
So, this is the thing - all I needed was material that has a small enough mesh to keep out bugs like leafhoppers and aphids.I already have a screen on this window but the holes in it were too large so that little bugs could still come into my greenhouse room. So, I got this screen and all is Well! For just $4. on Amazon here, I got this screen, took out my old screen, wrapped this material around the old screen, and now it looks and works perfectly! So easy! So, I will not comment on the adhesive backing or anything else because they were not necessary for my situation.Hopefully, this info and photos help a few of you to figure out what would be best in your situation.. Have fun and good luck!

works well!
it could be user error, but the adhesive started to come loose after about a week of being applied. otherwise, it’s easy to use and does the job!

Poor Execution Hurts an Otherwise Good Product
The original title of this review was going to be "not for perfectionists" - after two weeks of ownership, I don't even think it's for people who are OK with "good enough."I live in an apartment complex with large bay windows and no screens. Given that I'm just a tenant here, this thing looked perfect for my needs of having a window open without having all of nature inside. The material provided was more than enough for the window I wanted to be covered and it looked to be small enough that most creatures wouldn't be able to get in.Followed the setup almost to the letter - it suggests roughing up the window frame for certain frame types to help the tape adhere, I was assuming plastic/vinyl would be a good enough surface. Getting the tape in the corners of the frame was tough, but it seemed to stick well enough. Applying the screen to the hook tape tore up my fingers (I'd suggest a piece of plastic to push the netting into the tape). My original review was going to call out various parts related to the screen material. The delivered cut didn't seem to be straight down the material, almost as if it was a "close enough" cut. Additionally, I found at least one space where the fabric already had a run in it that needed to be accounted for as I was hanging it.However, I wasn't worried about not getting enough material, so I started at the top corner and attached the netting to two corners, pulled it to fit the other edge and cut. The bottom edge was the most difficult and I ended up cutting it a little short - which gets to the tough part; cutting the material just right is very tough. Either you're going to have way too much extra or not enough. It didn't look fantastic, but, I had a screen!A week later, I don't have a screen anymore. The adhesive tape that attached the hook tape to the window frame had lost adhesion to the hook tape. I tried re-attaching the hook tape to the tape that was now stuck on the frame and got another 30 minutes of having a screen out of it.So, does it work? Yeah - for a week at a time. But the adhesive provided by PermaStick can't stick to the hook tape. I’d buy this more for the screen material – you will need your own hook tape.

Does the job.
Very flimsy which made it difficult to put together and put up. Once up, it does do the job.

Not as advertised
Says high quality mesh, it is just netting material.

Cheap alternative to custom screens, you get what you paid for.
When I purchased my house one set of windows did not come with screens. The rest were replaced and came with new screens or had a storm window system installed with screens available. After trying to find a screen for this one window I realized why they left it out - there is no pre-made screen that fits this type of old fashioned window. This window has two separate pains that each crank open outward. So it was either pay about $40 per window ($80 plus shipping) for a custom screen that would have the exact measurements and holds for these windows or go the cheap route. The cheap route found me here.Pros:-Cheap-Custom Size- I can lift the screen up to crank the window open and close when needed.Cons:- The magnetic strips do not stick to the border of window- Harder to assemble than it looksI measured my window before ordering. The measurements were exact to what I needed. I thought 'Great! Less customizing to do.' Not exactly true. The edges and magnetic strips come halved. Which means to get the full length and width available you need to connect two pieces to make one edge. This leads to a less stable frame that comes apart easily. It also eliminated my option of doing two screens, one per window even though that would technically be less screen there wasn't enough frame. I ended up just doing one big screen along the frame of the window to cover both windows at once which makes it difficult to get to the lock of the window that is in the direct center of the screen as it all falls down. The other issue I had was sticking that magnetic strips to the window frame. Despite cleaning the frame first the strips either weren't strong enough to hold the weight of the screen or just weren't sticking properly. Either way it lead to the screen not staying up on the window (window was still closed at this point so it definitely wasn't do to outside wind, etc.) I ended up stapling the magnetic strips to the frame. Not and ideal option for me but was doable since I own the house. Renters be aware this may be an unsolvable issue for you.The last problem I found was that it is nearly impossible to get the screen taunt. The plastic frame bends under pressure so pulling the edges to ensure the screen is tight before popping it into the frame only bends the frame. I'm sure there is a way to perfect the tightness-to-frame-strength ratio but I did not have the patience for that.Overall there are definite issues to deal with. This window is in a spare room that isn't used often and our weather gives us maybe three months to have windows open so to me custom screens weren't worth the price, at least in our current situation. After fully assembling and working out the kinks this screen will keep the bugs out and that is all I really need.

Does the job!
I have push-out windows and wanted to install a window screen so that I could leave my windows open in piece. This does exactly that. Now, this was my first time installing an insect window screen, so it certainly wasn't easy. Thankfully, it's quite self explanatory. The manual is easy to follow, but honestly it's best to play around with the parts and understand how they work. The hardest part was measuring, since the connectors do a poor job of keeping the plastic frames in place - this is my only critique so far. However, once you've measured it out, scissors will do the trick. The frame has stuck in place, however, the adhesives do pull out with the magnets sometimes when you pull out the screen to close your window. Not sure if this is because the adhesives weren't installed properly, but seeing as other customers have complained about this, I would recommend stronger adhesives. If this is fixed, along with stronger connectors, this product would be perfect. For the price, can't complain.
