Our 10 year old son loved this magic set as a Christmas present. He worked hard watching the dvd and with practice put on a magic show for the whole family. It has tricks for the youngest magician to those who have even been working at it awhile like my older son. Would recommend for anyone who wants to learn a little magic and have a lot of fun!

This was a Christmas present from Grandma to her 10 year old budding magician grandson. He says some of the tricks he likes are the postcard picture, luggage tags, penetration frame, Houdini chain escape, tickets to a magic show, collapsible wand, levitating princess, rice bowls, and the talking dice. He did the rice bowl trick with cereal this morning at breakfast and fooled us all. He put cereal in the bowl, covered it, and when he turned it over, there was twice as much cereal--plus milk! We couldn't tell what he had done. He says he has spent hours and hours studying the DVD that came with it--and it shows. He became very polished in his patter as he presents the tricks. (He says the trick to that was practicing in front of the mirror so can see what his audience can see.) He and I would recommend this set to any beginner or intermediate magician. A very successful Christmas present!

Set arrived in good condition, ie no damage- although haven't opened it yet, I can tell all the pieces are scattered throughout the box. Seems like the boy will have a lot of fun with this...It's for an almost 8 yr old boy, I dunno if this is to young for him or not but we'll see.

Son didn't really play with it, cheaply made

I bought this set as a birthday present for my 9 year old grandson. He loved it and has been practising hard! His tricks are quite convincing and the quality of the set is excellent.

My wife performed the water in the money trick for her class, and everyone loved it. This box set has a very nice variety of tricks. Her magic instructor was delighted that it came with the rice bowl trick. Highly recommended.

Bought for my 11 year old son and he loves it. He has learned all the tricks in it and continually likes to do his tricks for us over and over and over and over.

This set has some good tricks, but most of the pieces are made of paper or plastic and can easily break. The instructional books tell how to do a bunch of extra magic tricks.
