Have never heard of this brand before but I am always eager to try out new shaving products, especially from artisan makers.Been wet shaving for 6 or 7 years now and have used a variety of different soaps, ranging from the cheap (Arko and palmolive shave sticks) to the expensive, luxury items (Truefitt and Hill, Castle Forbes ect) so I would say I have a experience of a variety of different soaps and creams for shaving.I used this soap along with a YaQi synthetic shaving brush, Edwin Jagger DE89 and a Gillette Nacet blade and did a two pass shave (with and across). The soap gave a really thick and creamy lather after working it up and performed great, gave great slickness and cushioning and left my skin feeling smooth in the post shave feel. The scent is a nice tobacco scent (similar to Razorock puros).Overall...a nice soap for anyone into traditional wet shaving and I will be looking forward to trying new products from this brand / company.

I bought after a really expensive ceramic lathering bowl slipped from my hands and broke into pieces. I needed something damage proof (??) And this bowl is made of wood . It seems to be well made and fullfils the purpose it was bought for. If it lasts it will be the perfect lathering bowl.

I've been using one of those plastic mug-bowls with the knob on the side. Due to the sloped sides it's difficult to lather with a large brush and pushes most of it into the knot.This is much wider so you can actually direct the soap/cream to the centre of the bowl and because it's so much wider I can get a good lather which is quickly agitated by the raised rings in the base. There's also a small recess in the side which makes it easy to grip with wet hands.After use I gave it a rinse and wipe and it appears to have a water repellent coating, so I'm hopeful it won't crack or split.It's a shame it's so expensive, but if it lasts I'll be happy with the investment.

Don't be put off by the addition of chlorophyll, which gives this shaving soap an unusual appearance. Superb lather and shave, with an extraordinary and unique fragrance. Excellent value for money compared with the myriad of shaving soaps in fussy wooden bowls whose lids invariably warp after first use.

Slightly different to what am use to using but it's a great product still, it smells amazing

Really unhappy with this bowl it was bought for me as a Christmas present the 1st 1 received was damaged so sent it back, and got this 1all looked fine but after using 3 times since I opened it Christmas day the varnish is already peeling of the side. So it obviously wasn't sealed properly and is now only going to get worse and look horrible. Bearing in mind the sides don't get that wet and I dry it after use. The inside is doing the same but couldn't get a clear photo. I have 5 of there soaps and enjoy them butthis is a really disappointing product and was bought beginning of November so the return window for the product is also closed so am stuck with a bowl which will probably be unusable if the inside keeps peeling in to my lather. Update.Amazon sent me a replacement even though i missed the return window. it feels a totally differant bowl. There is a thumb groove in It, and it weighs 80grams more than the original bowl there is a crack in the wood in the bottom but hopefully will be ok. The bowl feels a lot better than the other 2 , it also doesn't have writing on the bottom. It is a really good size bowl for lathering and nice. If you get a good 1.

Not an overpowering scent. Foams up with very little water. This will likely last a long time. Makes for a super close shave. I will likely purchase their other soaps in the future.

I like it a lot, it has a leathery, tobacco smell, very masculine. The lather is rich and is easy to wip up with a brush. I recommend it to anyone who likes to enjoy their shave sessions.
