Great, fascinating day to day watching ants work. Just make sure to have a food removal system (chopsticks ect) ready as if it's left it goes moldy and gross after the ants have their bit. It's not easy to remove food as the opening is narrow.Saying that it's still super cool to watch and for the price you can't do better. You could reuse the system if you got replacement sand (cleaning the sand given isn't easy as it'll have tiny dead ants in it).This si the second we have bought and got one as a gift.

Got this for my son for Christmas and he is as obsessed. The ant farm was such a good learning experience for him, and the directions were so easy to follow, as well as ordering ants. They came early, the price was great, no issues with durability or tipping, and it was a fun convenient size for a 7 year old.

We bought this for homeschooling. It was great to see the ants and be able to observe what they do. I'm a bit bummed cuz some of the ants were dead already when they arrived. Because several were still alive we didn't try to return or get a rebate or anything.My biggest issue with the set is the tubing. Yes it stuck on well enough that no ants escaped. BUT we wanted a loop for the ants to crawl through. When we left it all together the loop was Giant and obnoxious. When we cut it in half, the loop caused the tubing to kink and the ants couldn't travel through, making the loop useless. If we do it again, I would definitely buy another farm to connect them and see them travel better.

For me it lasted about 5 weeks it then grew mold from the plastic, YUCK!🤢

My bug loving kid enjoys it a great deal bought it before Christmas and is still going strong!

PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS NON-RETURNABLE PRODUCT1. The “sand” they put in is much too light. It’s almost like styrofoam bits with how light and clingy it is. It clung to the ants and was so loose that anytime they tried digging, it would just collapse back onto them.2. The entrance is much too small to do anything with it. I’ve been having to just take off the whole lid to feed and water them.3. The tube they give you to connect holes is completely useless without another farm. If you try just looping it around to another hole in the ant farm, it’s too small so it folds on itself and the ants can’t get through4. The plastic lids for the holes are too loose. I left my house over the weekend and when I got back, I noticed that the little lid had fallen out. I guess the ants noticed it too because they built a little hill to the whole and ESCAPED. ALL OF THEM ESCAPED!!! Keep in mind these are the red poisonous harvester ants! And since then I’ve been finding these suckers around my room! I even found one near my bed. Needless to say, burning my whole house down was not worth it for this farm T^T (that last part was a joke, I didn’t burn my house down. Still, don’t buy this)
