Effective and clever way to flag your strobe. Retainer ring attachment strap is rather loose on a Nikon SB-700 (not enough velcro) and the ring center alignment guides broke quickly upon use. In use it is very fluid, flag attached to ring rotates 360 deg effortlessly. Changing and attaching flags is easy on and difficult off, so it's not fast. Size of the ring does not pack well and is bulky to store. All in all it does what it supposed to do (the black flag part anyway) and is quite fluid in use and looks better a "black foamie thingy".

This is a great light diffuser for close-up and portrait work, BUT - as I found out too late 0 for a little more money, you can get the version that has ALL the accessories and is a much better deal. This one is a good "starter" set. But to get the most out of it, go for the package. That said, this system is crazy expensive foe what you get. My guess is that there is maybe $10 in parts here. You're paying for the IDEA not the PRODUCT.

Very versatile, especially when you get the complete system. I have all the components plus two extra spin rings and use them in my portable multi light system for "on location portraiture. Light weight, space saving (compared to lager speed light modifiers such as soft boxes), more control than domes, bounce cards and other reflector/ diffusers designed for (non studio) flash lights. And (at times) can eliminate the need for umbrellas or standard soft boxes
