Love this pens.

they come in different tip sizes to needs and writing styles. Along with the metal clip to keep it in place, I use it for work and just like the way it writes.

Great pen for teachers, and many other professions...

What I like about these pens is that they were different colors and the quality and price was great!

I have these in Red, Blue, Black, and their Signature Ink versions. Great pens.

I really like these Pentel Energel pens. the .5mm tip size is perfect for nice, clear lines. Ink doesn't smear on regular paper, but doesn't work well on glossy paper - smears badly. Typically for gel ink with most pens. Red colour is nice and bright. Also, you can get refill cartridges, so you don't have to throw the entire pen away when it runs out of ink. Just replace the refill cartridge. (Have to buy separately.) Only minus is that the screw on/off on the barrel gets worn out easily. Once that happens, the pen is toast. Overall, have these pens in 4 different colours - all work great.

Who are all these people giving this pen good reviews? Do not believe it. Maybe it’s for some version that is not the ultra fine point / needle tip. These are horrible. I use a red pen for quality control comments in documents and ran out of my previous so ordered these - preferring ball point over runny rollerball ink that can smear. The tip of this pen has some sort of surrounding guard on the tip that literally prevents you from writing any way other than holding the pen completely vertically, which no one writes like that. So what is the point of this pen? Dear Pentel, please let me know exactly what you were thinking here? Sadly, I have to take the time to return something so stupid and un-usable.
