I use this on my long hair mini dachshund who has a ton of undercoat and long fur. She had mats behind her ears that just kept coming back. Amazingly with this brush it’s so easy to remove both problems. Go gently at first with the long comb side as it works really well on mats and is faster than you expect. I was shocked at the amount of fur collected off such a little dog. The shorter side is perfect for clearing the undercoat and deshedding - also gathered up a ton of fur. The great thing is that you can really gain control over the mats quickly. I’m now using a setting spray for dogs after shampoo and conditioning that keeps the mats away. I highly recommend this tool. It’s also extremely durable and easy to use.

I worried that this brush might be too abrasive for our little old cat, but a regular brush doesn't stand a chance against the knots in his long cottony fur. This brush breaks up the knots and gradually loosens the shed hairs without tearing or pain. For unknotted fur, the shed hairs just come up with the brush. I easily removed 3x times more hair yesterday in half the time I usually spend brushing him.The brush is metal and very solid; I expect it will hold up for years to come. If you're on the fence, THIS BRUSH IS WORTH IT!

it works great on my toy pomsky. short small rake motion back and forth in the same spot, slowly making your way down works best. i was doing longer pulls at first and he was yelping. short small pulls and he relaxed into it and was so fluffy afterwards. pretty much ended shedding for the week. I just used it again and got a little more this week. i like the grip on the handle.

Works great. It does take a minute to get used to the brush, so it is not pulling on the hair. It is easy to get the hair out of the brush, my dogs have a thick undercoat.

Ok. The handle was nice and squishy so it was comfortable to hold. On the downside, the blade was narrower than the other brushes I own. I also had the sense that my cats don't like this brush compared to the others. Maybe they don't like orange?Anyway, I wouldn't buy this one again because of the size.

We have had dogs (and dog fur) since forever. This rake is by far the best we have ever found and we have bought hundreds over the years. Absolutely recommend this product.

I got this item and was expecting it not to work. I assumed it would just snag and rip my mom's cats hair out but it didn't! It really helped get the tough matted hair off his back and he loves it! Everytime we pick it up he runs to us to get brushed! It's heavy duty and works wonderfully.
