VERY PLEASED TO SEE THIS TYPE OF BULB STILL AVAILABLE
This review is for a TCP CFL Circline Bulb – Soft White 2700K (120W Equivalent) T9 Circline Lamp. Had to order a second bulb due to the first one arrived in shards. It came in a thin cardboard box, shipped in a bubble wrap bag. Second bulb arrived safe and sound (still in a bubble wrap bag) following a return of the first to amazon. I was very glad to find this replacement circular bulb. It is installed in a Japanese clamp-mounted easel lamp that I brought back to the US in 1982. This is only the second time I have had to replace the bulb! Let it be known that the lamp itself is designed to work on the Japanese power standard of 100 volts at 50 Hz. The lamp has been operating in the US at 120 Volts and 60 Hz for 38 years! By all accounts this lamp (and the bulbs) should have burned out within a couple of months. To ensure that I would be able to operate this great lamp in the future, I ordered a third bulb, which is to arrive this coming Saturday. Hopefully it will arrive in one piece.

Replacement bulb for Hampton Bay Windward II Ceiling fan/ light fixture
If you own a Hampton Bay light fixture, you might run into the same situation of having a hard time finding a replacement light bulb. The fact that my husband threw out the light bulb before we got a working replacement made it even more difficult. Home Depot sells Hampton Bay fixtures, but they don't carry the light bulbs for them. They hooked me up with Hampton Bay Customer Service that asked for $20 for having the light bulb mailed to my house. When I asked for item # or specs for the light bulb, they refused to tell me. Basically, it is only "Take it or leave it".I looked online and found this on Amazon. Decided to call the vendor Light Bulbs Etc Inc. for help. The gentlemen were patient and helpful. With the info from the ballast on the light fixture, they figured out for me that this light bulb should work, and IT DOES! As a matter of fact, this bulb is brighter than the original one that came with the fixture.Though the last light bulb lasted for years, I will get another one from Light Bulbs Etc Inc. just in case. One other thing: The price of Light Bulbs Etc Inc was slightly cheaper if you buy from them via Amazon vs ordering directly over the phone. The S/H for one light bulb is cheaper on Amazon, but there was a higher flat S/H fee if you order over the phone, regardless of order size.

Thank you, Amazon!
I recently purchased a home where both of the bathrooms had a fixture requiring this light bulb. The previous owner warned me that they were discontinued and the fixtures would have to be rewired. One light did not work at all and after a few months the master bathroom light burned out as well. Sure enough, I could not find this bulb in any brick and mortar but the representative at Batteries Plus looked it up on Amazon for me, and sure enough, there they were! Hopefully I will not have to replace them again while I own the home. It was not an inexpensive purchase but saved me an awful lot of money for not having to hire an electrician.

It fit fine and has thus far posed no issues
I purchased the light to replace a fluorescent dome I had bought from the 'depot'. It was the second dome I had purchased from them in 14 years. So average of about 7 years per bulb. After purchasing and installing the first dome, I had a need to replace the bulb & went back to the 'depot', much to my dismay, they sold 8 in and 12 in circular fluorescent replacement bulbs. Unable to find a replacement, I purchased a new dome. This latest time I went to replace the bulb, again found that I could not obtain the replacement at the 'depot', I was referred to a local lighting store, rather than wait for an opportune time to make it the local store in their minimalistic open hours, I went to peruse Amazon. Needless to say Amazon had the lights available and I ended up purchasing this option. It fit fine and has thus far posed no issues. The light is sufficiently bright, a little brighter than the original it was replacing. It is not dull and has no delay upon turning on...To that end, I'm more than happy with the purchase, it saved me money (rather than purchasing another replacement dome), it's an upgrade from the stock light, and it looks great. I'll update the review if I have any issues with the longevity of the bulb.

Works great, bright light
Myself like many others have a Hampton Bay fan which takes this bulb. Unfortunately you couldn't buy a replacement buld for it even the day after you brought the fan home. Home Depot, Lowes, etc.. no one had the replacement bulbs. The packaging was a little lax so when I opened the box to find the bulb OK I was relieved. I haven't had a light in my fan for over a year because I couldn't find the bulbs locally. Decided to check online somewhere and voila. Thank god Amazon had the exact one I needed.Just FYI for those who have the TCP Circline Adapter you can actually unhook it from the fan and there is a regular bulb socket in the fan! You don't actually need the circular bulb. I didn't realize that until I saw the Circline Adapter here on Amazon under the "Recommended Products" thingy and it had a screw base in the diagram. Check it out.I absolutely love the circular bulb style because of the way it lights the whole room evenly. Since I got the first one to make sure it works I'll be buying a couple more as spares.

So thankful to find...
The ceiling fan in our Dog Salon is old, at least 15 years, and I was afraid we'd be out of luck trying to find a replacement bulb for the light. Technology changes so fast that companies stop making older replacement parts. Well, this circular bulb is the same model number and works perfectly. As CFL lose brightness over time, I had forgotten how bright it was, and this is from a ceiling fan lamp that's 13 feet high in a 20ft ceiling. Now that I know it works, I'll be buying two more and a new ballast to cover me for at least another 10 years. Last bulb lasted 15+ years...same TCP bulb.Be sure to read the model numbers!
