Steel Magnetic Bookend and File Divider

The bookend have a strong magnet and hold a lot of books upright on the shelf.

Pretty solid magnet, works well for loose files (not in hangers). Should work even better with the hanging variety (which I hate, but I digress). Not as cheap as I'd prefer.

The magnet is very weak, it will not hold anything with weight. It will work with very (maybe 10 pages) light folders. The glue came off the magnet within 48 hours. Now it's nearly useless now. I paid $10 plus about another $10 for shipping. It was a total waste of money.

These probably work for a lot of filling drawers but we have heavier files that magnets weren't strong enough to hold up to. The magnets were not glued well to the metal brackets either so we had quite a few that didn't stay stuck to the brace.

The weak magnet is not strong enough to hold files in place in the file drawer. A good idea, just an inferior magnet.

It works great for what I need, I was reluctant at first but after receiving it I was real pleased.

I have mixed feelings. When I first received it I loved it because it was ready to place right in the filing cabinet. The magnet stuck right to the base, and it held some of the folders upright and towards the front of the cabinet space.But then I used it in a cabinet that was 3/4 full with files. The weight of the files pushing back against the divider made it fall. Maybe this is where the hole in the back can come into play and the divider can be screwed to the base. However this will result in a difficult time if I have to constantly move the divider back or forward.So while there is a down side I am still rating this with 4 stars because it has a very nice place when being used for a light amount of files. It keeps those files nicely organized and it is quickly capable of shifting forward or backward.

The magnet is STRONG! If you are not careful it will just bolt you to the cabinet! haha It is easy to move, though, so no worries. It will hold up almost anything you need it to in a filing cabinet. I use it too keep a series of paper packets in folders up-right. I highly recommend it if you hate sloppy files.
