2PCS Geekbes S07 Smart Socket WiFi Mini Plug APP Remote Control Timing Socket Compatible with Alexa -White

I've tried a few different brands of wifi smart plugs including the Geekbes S07 (round version) and the Geekbes S08 (square version) as well as generic, unbranded items. I have to say that the Geekbes version are by far my favorite.These units come individually packaged in a nice cardboard box and include instructions for installing and syncing to the required "Smart Life" app. The units themselves are much sturdier and feel heavier and more solid compared to the generic ones I've tried. This makes me much more confident and using them and are my preferred brand for locations which get frequent use.The Smart Life app is pretty easy to use - just know that you'll need to connect the app (and device) to your wifi network. We have a guest wifi which is segregated and does not have access to our "main" devices and I use the guest wifi for all our wifi switches.Integration to Alexa is very easy out of the box and it allows you to control the devices with your voice. The "lag time" is pretty minimal since it usually takes Alexa a bit to listen to your command and act on it anyway.Connecting to Smartthings requires the IFTTT app and you can set up different commands/logic for whatever you're looking to do. For me... I just wanted to have access within the Smartthings app to control ALL of my devices (and also to use automation for randomized lighting while on vacation) so I set up "Virtual Devices" for each of our wifi plugs and have them synced in IFTTT. When the virtual device is turned on, a message is sent via IFTTT to Smart Life and turns on (or off) the plug.These are great little smart plugs, seem well made and we've had them for over a year with only one instance when they didn't work (via voice command or the app) but I think that was a connectivity issue on my network, and the backup process is a small button on the side which will turn the device on/off. I would definitely recommend these!
