To study Greek

Totally in Greek, but dont be discouraged. it starts with the alphabet followed by simple greetings. You will need trusty google translate but that isn't a problem if you are serious.it took me about 15 mins to locate the audio files, but once accessed they download without issue and are very high quality.I think the negative reviews are for 2 main reasons. Firstly, upon opening the book you are greeted with about 10 pages of solid high level greek text which appears daunting; however this is intended for teachers and explains the background and context of the series. Skip straight to the contents page and you will be fine.The second complaint seems to be lack of audio. Admittedly this could be highlighted and made clearer; however once again, the top right of the contents page gives the weblink and password to download the audio.

I am beyond frustrated with the fact that this book is written all in Greek- it would have been tolerable if at least the instructions were in English so that I could find out how to download the audio files, but alas- I have no idea how to download the audio files and so many exercises in the book are not available to me. At this price, that is just unacceptable. If I could read & understand the level of Greek required to understand the introductory pages, I would not be a beginner Greek learner! It really defies logic.

Great method to learn Greek, although this book is not for self-taught students as it's all in Greek and will need guidance.

Wife is learning Greek and this book is brilliant

My Greek teacher asked us to buy this book. After a year of weekly lessons following the book, and studying consistently, I've become quite frustrated with the book. None of the instructions is in English. The book does not advance vocabulary, simply assumes that one will have a dictionary at hand to learn about 20 new words per page. The exercises are so silly and not aimed at learning greek. There are far better books and methods to learn greek than this.
