This is a very good quality speed cube. I am no professional/competition speed cuber. My average times for a 3x3 are around a little over a minute. For my level of experience this cube is totally fine for just the casual user. I wouldn't be surprised if you could use this at the competition level as well though. I'm not really an expert on where to place the magnets so I would just like to say that this cube did not come with enough magnets to place in every corner. It does come with one set of magnets already installed but I am referring to the extra ones. They gave around 8 extra magnets so I had to use them sparingly and figure out what the best balance was as I think there may be more like 12 - 16 magnets total in the first set to cover all corners and angles of the cube itself. Anyway, I placed the extra magnets and you can sort of feel that sometimes the cube is a little heavier on one side but it doesn't seem to affect how you use the cube as the weight is always changing while you spin all the different positions. I would recommend this cube to anyone who wants a fast and customizable cube as you can also adjust the tension of how the cube spins. Hope this review helps you. Thanks.

Been looking for a good 2x2 cube for a while!

It was amazing! I got it already lubed and it was set up perfectly. All I had to do was break it in. The magnets were strong but not too strong. Amazing product. Definitely recommend.

I really had no complaints about this cube until the corner piece broke off in the first week. Not sure if it was defective to start with or just too hard on the cornering? Once it broke, I noticed there is just a small plastic post that holds the corner pieces in place (see photo) - appears to be somewhat fragile. I've tried super gluing back in place but it will not hold.Otherwise, this cube offers smooth transitions and the magnet strength seemed just right :)
