Despite there's not a battery backup, fortunately there's an easy way to don't loose time setting when replacing batteries: the battery compartment is designed with 4 batteries and they are lined up in two separate rows, you can change one of them first and then the other. Q: How to change from 24 time to 12 hour time?

On the back of the clock under the small “TIME SET” button you’ll find a “HOUR 12/24” button. Press it once and it will change the time from 24 hrs to 12 hrs or vice versa.

Hi dear customer, I'm Shir O and happy to serve you here. Yes despite it's not an absolute wall clock, you can also try mounting it on a wall with double-sided Velcro. LOL, double-sided Velcro is really a marvellous tool. Kindly note the 4 corner holes in the back does not help mounting on a wall, they're just screw holes that help stabling the clock.
