It is not a sturdy ball head. The max load is far less than the 30 lb load vendor claimed, probably the max load is less than 15 lb. If you have any heavy lenses, it would not be a good idea to test your luck. Moreover, the clamp is too wide for quick release plates made by other vendors, e.g., Desmond 60mm quick release plate. Interestingly, clamps made by Desmond can easily accommodate quick release plates for Pro Ball Head without any problems. Be careful, you are paying what you are getting for.

Small light weight exactly what I wanted. The friction and ball lock controls do not hold the ball tight in all attitudes, thus implies this condition may get worst. If/until that happens it fulfills my needs.

It's good so far. A little tight on the pano head. But for the price you can't beat it. I use it on my Gorrillapod tripod.

Works as expected. very heavy systems are not 100% rigid.

Not at all smooth. Doesn't hold the camera without cranking it tighter than should be necessary.
