This is a great feeling knife in the hand. Extra wide blade for many creative uses. The blade is 3/16” and is 440C S.S. Plenty strong for campsite duties, holds an edge well, and can be used for fine work bushcraft as well as in the ‘mess’ tent for food prep. Though I don’t consider this a ‘Survival Knife’, it can certainly handle batoning, (though the blade might be short for that), it can feather wood perfectly, makes clean notches, and debarks for inner dry wood source. Cuts through 3/8” horsehair rope, 1/2” plastic strapping, cardboard, stands up to light chopping, and the wide blade reflects light for a possible reflexion signaler. 😶Anxious Prepper🤫

The blade thickness measures 3/16 by my caliper. It is 440C Stainless Steel. This is a great tool for campsite chores. The strong and comfortable G10 handle nestles smoothly in my grip with no extra fatigue from chopping. I hesitate to baton with this knife, however I refuse to think it couldn’t handle it. Yes, it can feather, debark, split, cut through smaller cordage say up to 3/8 horsehair with little problem. Because this knife takes a good cleanup, it can be used for kitchen and food prep in the tent as well as for rough camp duties.
