Rock that refreshes.
Wishbone Ash Hass fascinated me as well as provided me with years of fine listening pleasure. Thief combination of rock and flavor of classic English folk tunes are refreshing from the hard Rock that I otherwise love also. One needs a break occasionally from any genre, but. Not to gush, but I'm glad to review this band to give attention to an innovation in music too often overlooked.

The controversial Wishbone Ash Four makes it to CD! This is where it all started to change
It seems that Wishbone Ash Four is the dividing line for the fans. There is the group that loves the first three albums and not much after and the group that love from Wishbone Ash Four. This is album is the biggest selling album and it is great to finally have it on cd! Overall I still have mixed feelings on the music it is a good album but I tend to stay in the group that loves the first three! But this is still a classic release it deserves to be on cd. Well worth having in your Wishbone Ash Collection! Very good job on the transferring and mastering, Nice liner note at a good price makes this a great deal!

Solid Effort by The Ash.
A good rock and roll album by an underrated band.

A rockin' album.
(1973) "Wishbone Four", is a great rockin' album. There is still some folk based tunes here, but the band really cooks here. With tunes such as, "Ballad Of The Beacon", "Sorrel", "Rock "n' Roll Widow", "So Many Things To Say", "Doctor" and the progressive melodic number "Everybody Needs A Friend". Last album with Ted Turner. Their highest charting album in their career (#44). Next up 1974's "There's The Rub". The only problem with this album, it needs remastered bad.

Great Music from Back in the Day
Wishbone Ash is probably one of the best rock bands from the early 70's. The fact that they never received the mainstream success they should have can probably be attributed to the complete commercialization of the music industry and the shift from true musicianship to hairspray and spandex. Wishbone can be credited with "inventing" the dual guitar harmonies that many people didn't hear until the Allman Brothers came around. This is a band for guitar lovers, and this is an album for those who truly appreciate classic rock.
