Maglite Upgraded - note polarity
Had been looking for an upgrade to a well used Maglite, but didn't want to spend too much on a new torch when existing one was still working, just not an LED.Found this item, and based on the other reviews felt it was worth a go.On arrival I installed, but no light, then realised that polarity was marked on underside. Swap around and viola! Bright light. I'm an IT engineer so will often need to use my torch inside racks, and wanted a bright light, but wanted to give my existing Maglite Solitaire a new lease of life by upgrading to LED. This has been a great upgrade.Noted that as described it does prevent the focus from being as adjustable, but it really doesn't affect the light output. Its bright and a nice white light.

LED give a big improvement over original bulb
As an upgrade it fits the torch well and is much brighter than the original bulb, but not quite as bright as similar size modern LED torches. Overall MagLite Solitaire are great little torches and this upgrade keeps them still being very useful.

Led bulb upgrade for Solitare AAA Maglite
Fast delivery. Well packaged. Install easy, but due to larger bezel the LED sits prouder so you loose the beam focus. However, pitch left is brighter.

Mini magnalite bulb LED replacement
This isa quality product which gives a much higher level of illumination than a standard magnalite bulb. Remember the LED replacement only operates if the D.C. battery polarity is correct. When fitting the replacement LED and it does not light then just turn it around 180 degrees and it will operate.I fully recommend this product and have fitted LED bulbs in my three old magnalite and given them a new lease of life.

A big improvement on the brightness of the bulb that came with the torch.
This bulb is much brighter than the one that came with the Maglite AAA solitaire, but it does make the torch longer by a millimeter or two.

Not a good fit - focus doesn't work
Wish I had read the reviews. It is not compact enough to use the torch focus and the top doesn't feel like it has screwed down enough when it is off. It should come with a redesigned cap\lens piece.

MagLite solitaire replacement LED bulb
The LED bulb completely transformed this torch. A very worthwhile buy.
