Not as good as I expected
I don't know if the one I got is defective but this is nowhere near as good as the Bosch laser measure I had lost. The beam doesn't seem to be pointing exactly where it should - almost like it is at an angle. I need to constantly move this at the bottom to get the beam to show up at the other side where it needs to be and then of course I don't have a lot of confidence in the accuracy after that.This doesn't have a back-light either which is surprising. I could not read it in some areas and had to go where there was more lighting.Again, this might be a defective product and the alignment of the laser appears to be off on this unit. I have several Makita power tools and all work flawlessly. Hopefully Amazon will take this back because otherwise it will go in the trash.

Not worth it
Dont waste your money on this. I had the Bosch unfortunately it went through the washer. Great laser. This is bigger no backlight and the biggest thing is it only measures in 16th’s. So if your measuring something thats critical its hit or miss.

Impossible to use in dark situations due to no backlighting.
