Yes ! Alcohol Robs you of Joy & Peace
Amazing book. I now agree that alcohol robs you of your joy, peace, dreams, and much more. It tastes horrible. It wrapped in pretty package like a wolf in sheep clothes. Its a trap ! Just say no!

It works.
Truthfully, I was a little taken aback at the beginning, as the ideas seemed so strange at first, I had to tell myself to hold my horses and wait with the judgment to the end. I promised to myself that no matter what I will read this book cover to cover.Firstly, I saw only differences between me and the author - different attitude towards alcohol, different problem, different home situation... I happened to live in UK for many years and I know several people with exactly the same problem as this guy. But not me. I was different. And then, somewhere in the middle of the book, I couldn't lie to myself anymore. I had to admit that alcohol was in fact a poison and that it was a highly addictive one, too. No matter what you do, you get addicted to it eventually. It can take years or decades, but if you persist and regularly consume alcohol, it will be more and more difficult to quit. When faced with those facts, I knew I had no other choice but to quit it, which I did. I followed the steps in the book and haven't touched the alc for 2 months now. But more importantly I do not feel the sense of deprivation at all. Instead, I feel that I have finally given myself the freedom that I always deserved - the freedom to wake up with hangover-free mind. The freedom to feel ok when driving to the parties. The freedom to speak when everyone at the party no longer can and finally the freedom to put into my body what truly nourishes it and not a posion.Do I recommend this book? Sure thing. But it will not be easy to face the facts. One last remark - if you decide to purchase it, I suggest you read it cover to cover, no matter what.Edit: it's now 2019 and I'm still off alcohol. I've managed to continue my social life quite well, don't feel socially excluded at all. In fact I enjoy the parties even more now that I'm conscious all the way through ;)

it was ok
This book was ok. It seemed more like he is trying to sell his program. I’m happy it was a free kindle read. I personally found Sober on a Drunk planet more helpful.

Life changing
Yes, life changing, and I mean it. This was eye opening. I finished the book 6 months ago and haven't touch booze since then. I'm not trying hard, I just don't want to anymore, I completely lost interest in drinking. This book has completely changed how I see alcohol and the culture surrounding it. Whenever I'm out with friends and they're drinking, all I can see is that they're trapped. I did read other books about the matter, before and after this one, but this was the one that did it to me. The only parts I disliked were the chapters about vitamins and hypnosis, I'd happily read the book again and skip those parts that were not relevant to me.

Good but not sure if other people would let me stop drinking
I can understand how Craig got this bad as it creeps up on you. I cut down on drinking 18 months ago and I lost about 10 llbs. i woke up one day with bloodshot eyes after drinking for a few evenings in a row. It would not go away initially and it scared me. I think it was a sign that I was drinking too much although nothing was confirmed medically. It is interesting and i like how candid and honest the author is of his own experience with alcohol. i think that is the best and most interesting part of the book. Some of the things he says may sound shocking to some but not to me as I know how easy you can get that way.it gives me encouragement. However it's easy to be candid after the problem has gone.

Amazing Book
I went from a litre of vodka a day or 9 pints of cider to apple juice in cider glass while reading this book to nothing. don't know what it done but it has worked so far. Not saying I will never drink again cause that is too much to say but a year & a half & going good. I was an absolute nightmare on the drink & by now would have lost everything including my family, I am so glad I read this book. Thank you Craig

A Cracking Read For New Starters
My first book on the subject of stopping drinking was by Jason Vale. This book is surprisingly similar. In between I have read various "personal story" books and more scientific styles. Craig's book gives you the opportunity to give yourself a hard look - with a self help strategy follow - up. I'm already on my journey and still find reading the odd book on the subject can serve as a reminder of why I came.

Invest in a proofreader!
While I appreciate that we all may have different styles of voices to which we are partial, and his ‘no BS, straight talking’ is perhaps not my cup of tea, I appreciate much of the information and find it useful. However, and I really don’t want to judge the book too much on this, the kindle version I purchased DESPERATELY needs a proof editor. The grammar and punctuation, at other times even the spelling, are so bad that I genuinely am finding it difficult to follow. I’ve seriously considered printing he whole thing out so that I could re-type it in order to be able to follow what he is saying more easily.I don’t mean to be too pedantic, picking apart the smallest mistakes, but I’ve had moments where I just don’t have the energy to parse through the oddly connected clauses in order to follow what is, on the whole, a very simply written message. I’m keen to take in what he has to say, but I can’t do that when I’m rereading the same line four times to actually make sense of what is written.Invest in a proofreader, (or simply fire the person who proofed the kindle version), and this could be - for me at least - and much more enjoyable, and I suspect, powerful piece of writing.
