I had back surgery and used this brace to remind me not to bend forward. It allows some movement but not a lot. After a while I forget I even have it on. It served it's purpose for what I needed it for.

Cannot sit in this brace
The design of the brace disallowed sitting while wearing it. The top piece would choke you, so it is only operable while standing.
