I’ve honestly been using glaze for a couple of years now and have never had a bad experience.For background, I have long colored and highlighted hair that has been processed many, many times. My hair gets tangled easily and is pretty damaged with not a lot of shine towards the bottom. I’ve tried other products and fell off using glaze for the last year (idk why I did that).I’ve always used the clear gloss one but decided to use the blazing brown one this time, since I now have dark hair with brown highlights. Here are my thoughts:The color and gloss definitely is amazing. I applied it on dry unwashed hair and left it on for a good 10 mins. It definitely stains but I didn’t wear gloves. I worked in sections and washed my hair every minute or so, that way the stain doesn’t settle, and then comb through with a brush to distribute. I wash it off and shampoo/conditioner like normal.The color is deeper and healthier than before. My hair actually moves now! I don’t know why I ever stopped using it tbh. I will never stray again

I tried the Chocolate Gleam Gloss and I’m so impressed! It gave my hair great shine and enhanced my natural color beautifully. The warm tones made my hair look more vibrant without looking artificial. Please note- this product is not for hair that has been bleached so if you have ever bleached your hair, I would recommend the cocoa lights shade.The gloss left my hair feeling smooth, soft, and healthy without being heavy. I love that it instantly boosted my color and made my hair look freshly glossed, all from home.

Product itself is great, but the packaging is not thought thru enough. The amount of force you have to apply to get the product out is just ridiculous. Half of the product is still inside and to get it out I’ll probably have to cut the bottle open. Not worth the work or the money!

Helped even out my hair color after dye started to fade. Good product, but will not help with gray coverage

I’ve seen reviews about this not being a good hair dye, not covering grays, staining their hands, etc.It is NOT a hair dye. It’s a glaze. I love it - it’s perfect. It darkens my hair without being a dye. It washes out. I can build the layers if I use multiple times in a week. I use it at the beginning of the shower and scrubbing some soap and water on my hands wash off the staining A no stain by the end of the shower. It does “stain” my hair towel when drying. Always washes out. Never stained my clothes or bedding. I have cream sheets and pillowcases, 100% cotton. I have chestnut brown hair and this gives it a little darker tint while leaving natural variations in color. I absolutely love this stuff bc there is no dye line when it grows out.It is a GLAZE. It’s PERFECT for that!!Note: I use chocolate gleam. I did buy the cherry once to bring out the red in my hair - it does nothing for me that I noticed. I think you really need to buy a glaze that is darker than your natural color for it to work.

This product is only a gloss......this means it will only sit on top of your hair and not penetrate the hair shaft. This means it will wash off in one or two washes. It can stain a bit but this will not replace a demipermanent or permanent dye.I knew that going in, so with that being said... I took away two stars because it did wash out after one wash, which is pretty quick in my opinion. The color was a really beautiful red/auburn though.

So I bought this product after hearing some good things from one of my friends (she has red hair). I’ve used different colored conditioners, glosses, etc in between my redyes for my dark blue black hair so I wasn’t worried. The first time I used this product, I saw no difference in my color at all. I have some lighter spots on my hair that I expected to darken a bit but no change at all. My hair was soft after but when rinsing, I had a ton of hair come out. I decided to give it a second try in case I had done something wrong but the same results. I used the shade Lustrous Ebony. 2 stars simply because it had a nice scent and made my hair decently soft but I won’t repurchase

Easy to use, quick processing time, and leaves my hair feeling super soft and my color looking vibrant! I wash my hair nearly every day so this makes it easy for me to maintain my color.
