Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning [4K UHD + Blu-Ray + Digital]

Good - worth seeing. Ignore the pundit reviews. Just a bit long is all. Lots of action.
Saw the movies last night. A bit long. Some of the scenes could have been a little shorter. Nice connection to some of the prior movies like #1 bringing some closure, which I think some faithful to M.I. will like. Learn more about some of the characters.A lot of action. The inside the submarine scene was intense. While there are mixed reviews from the pundits, to me, all in all it was a good action movie.Slight spoiler - Only one sad part, and it is clearly open to more Missions....

Mission Ruined.
I'm a fan of this franchise. Really. -The movie simply ISN'T worth imax or 4k prices or even today's bloated movie ticket prices. Making a movie longer doesn't necessarily mean it will be better or even necessary in order to "close out" the movie series. This chapter is at least 40 minutes too long, the story has more holes than Swiss cheese, the "connection" to the first 7 movies just isn't done well enough or close to satisfying and the characters (especially the villain) are just background support for Cruise & his stunts. Real shame. Perfect example of how a studio and their greed can completely RUIN a movie franchise. Do yourself a favor; rent at home or pretend Mission 6 was the (true) FINAL installment.

It's too bad, really...
...but I expected better for the series finale...I'm a big believer in "willing suspension of disbelief," but this final installment of M:I just stretched that willingness to the breaking point. There was plenty of action - GREAT action - but the plot holes and jarring story line jumps ruined it for me. Part 1 was really good, but part 2 just didn't close the deal very well. I walked away unsatisfied - and weary from the sheer length of the non-stop and frequently incoherent action. What it did well: closed the loop on many questions we didn't even know we had; tied all the M:I installments together neatly and cleanly; told us more about Ethan and his past.Overall, it's worth seeing, but not worth the excessive IMAX cost. And if you haven't seen the whole series of M:I movies - especially part 1 - see them first.

Your Mission, If You Choose To Accept It,Watch Movie
I saw this on the big screen in the theaters. Audience was almost full for the showing. I thought it was entertaining, held my interest for a nearly 3 hour long movie. Some scenes were dragged out a bit too long. Not as much action scenes as the previous movie. There are only two major stunts done by Cruise in the movie. It brought some closure to the MI series, but left some questions unanswered, possibly leaves doors open for future projects. I'm hopeful for the possibility. Overall,I enjoyed the movie, but it's not my top favorite installment in the series. Some may or may not like the movie. After all it's just entertainment.

Mission Impossible: Always a Winner
Historically speaking, I'm excited to see Mission Impossible 8 and I have already pre-ordered it. I've been a fan of this film series since the MI-1. I loved MI-7 and consider MI-8 a must-see as this is in fact part-2. Tome Cruise and MI are always a winner in my book. Need more MI action? check out the original TV series which has a lot of famous actors including Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, Peter Graves, Lee Meriwether, Greg Morris, Sam Elliott, Vincent Gardenia, and so many more.
