RSVP International Hanging Storage Collection 3-Tier Baskets, Copper Wire

I bought two of these guys several months ago and use them non-stop all the time. I'm not sure if the manufacturer changed the chains on them because they are very strong, unlike what other reviewers are saying. I mounted them with some good hooks that go straight into the studs. I am a vegan, so you know I load these suckers up. And I don't mean no wimpy light fruits either! I will typically fill up each one with about a dozen apples, two bunches of bananas, and 3-4 tomatoes or several cloves of garlic. They seem to really hold up well, and even if the chains would break (they haven't yet and don't look like they would), I would simply recrimp it or go to home depot and get some extremely strong chains for a couple bucks. The baskets are great and really do hold a good amount of fruit, which saves my counter-top space. If you want your fruit to be eaten faster and more often? Get one or two of these, because when you are in the snacking mood, what you see is what you will eat.Just be sure to look up online what veggies you can keep out (for a limited amount of time, your mileage may vary). There are more than you think. Here's a short list of what we keep out and seems to do really well (some need to be covered to keep out the light).Apricots, Nectarines, Peaches, Plums, Apples, Bananas, Tomatoes, Citrus Fruits, Garlic, Pears, Onions, Potatoes, Squash.

I read a lot of bad reviews of this product before buying it. It seems that a lot of people have had problems with the strength of the chains and/or the clips. I was a bit worried, but we couldn't find anything in town that met our needs and the price was right on this, so I took a chance.We've had this product hanging in our kitchen now for over two weeks, and it's been FULL the entire time: onions, potatoes, and squash, among other things. What I'm trying to say is that we've had heavy food in it...and nothing has broken. I haven't had to buy new chains. It hasn't fallen.Use some common sense when you hang the product. Make sure the chains aren't tangled and the weight is distributed equally. This is a great product at a great price.UPDATE 3/31/13: This thing has been hanging in our kitchen for 20 months now. I haven't had to do anything to it. It's always full of produce, it hasn't broken, and nothing has fallen. If you are confident in your ability to hang something from a hook, buy this with confidence.

The item we got had one chain that was 3 inches short. Fortunately, it was simple to adjust the clips locations on the longer chains to allow the baskets to hang level. This made the overall hanging height 3 inches shorter. We plan to add some chain at the top hook to allow it to hang lower.

Thanks to my then 10-year-old son, who thought it was funnier than anything to feed apple cores to our family pet, I now have a dog that will (literally) eat anything she can reach! Someday, I'll be able to enjoy putting fruit baskets on my dining table again, but until then, I am very grateful to have this hanging basket. My husband mounted this in front of my kitchen window, and since we have a pretty small kitchen, that gives me easy access to all the edibles I store there. While I'm sure it could fall out of the ceiling if it weren't installed correctly, I haven't had that problem. Normally, I have an assortment of apples, oranges, lemons and whatever other fruit happens to be in season. Right now, I also have plums, nectarines and tangelos well out of doggy-reach. I'd say I have around 10 pounds of fruit loaded in the three separate tiers, and I'm sure I've loaded it heavier than that at times. The basket sizes are very convenient and constructed of sturdy metal that hasn't discolored over time. One of the best kitchen purchases I've ever made!

Have had several of these over the years and this one by far has been the best made. Very pleased with it.

I read just about every review for this product before chancing a purchase. It came in a decent package first off and was undamaged. Although the individual product came with the chains a bit tangled up, upon correcting that and orienting it properly I was able to hang it with no problem and put as much as 7lbs of items on it. I have not had any problems thus far and I am inclined to help bring the rating on this item back up. I am sure 5%-10% of items shipped could lead to defects but based on the reviews it seems like a careless assembly of the components and an overloading of the baskets themselves is what has caused the items to fail. I currently have 3 oranges, 6 limes, 2 bulbs of garlic, 7 med onions, and about 10 medium sized potatoes and it has capacity for more. I think the item is worth a chance baring the care and consideration of assembly and also not throwing the entire pantry onto the baskets and expecting it to hold up. I like mine and when Amazon offers pictures of assembled and used items in peoples reviews I think Ill post a picture of it.

Seems like a good quality product. All tiers hung straight but if they didn't it is easy to unclip and readjust. We put potatoes and other heavy items in ours and it has been good so far.I am adding this comment on 2 March 2018. This item has worked perfectly for almost nine months. Purple, white and yellow onions + garlic in the bottom tier, potatoes in the middle tier and catch all small stuff up top, so it has being holding quite a bit of weight. We are very happy with the quality and performance and have no complaints. The chrome plating has held up well and this is a recommended item.On 4 April 2019 I add this comment: This item still works perfectly---has never fallen or come apart.
