Purchased and very happy that I did. Reading this book and studying it, really helped me in understanding PLC. My hat goes off to the author Orlando Charria, kudos to you for writing a book that anyone can read and understand the concepts. Also, this includes software to write PLC programs and trouble shoot them. Great lessons to be learned. This book helps you write PLC programs. If you want to learn basic PLC, buy this book.

This is the first item that reviews on amazon have let me down. This book is poorly written and bothers me trying to read. There are examples referred to that don't exist. The author is talking on one subject on one page and you think it will be continued on the next.....nope! You can find better information online than what's in this book. And the software that they mention....not a cd, but a website download. Kicker is, when you request the location to download...they never reply back....so no software! DO NOT BUY!!! If you do, you only have yourself to blame.

Okay. Not very useful if you have done PLC programming

Good book with good technical information. Would recommend this if you are looking for a book on PLC and programming basics.

Book is very well written, clear and precise explanations of the theory and principles of PLCs and logic, good use of examples,simulator is a very good tool to provide hands on interaction to allow those to learn at their own pace. I have been in this industry for 22 yrs and would recommend this book to anyone wanting to learn industrial automation, would also made a good training tool or reference manual
