The best money I’ve ever spent!
This has been so enlightening! I’m a thin, very active, and very healthy eating 60 year old with an A1c just barely in the pre diabetic range (5.7) per my last physical and lab results. I was shocked. So I bought this to see if I could find out when my sugars were high and after what foods. Well I was shocked again to find out how high my sugars went and how frequently I get big swings. I’m on my 4th day and have finally figured out through trial and error my diet and activity level and timing to give me a good Lingo score. I found that I need to eat less carbs (even though all were whole grain) and less fruit (I love fruit!) and only after some protein but mostly that I need to eat smaller meals and to stay active for about an hour after each meal to keep my sugar levels stable and from peaking so high. Yes it’s a little bit of a hassle but something I can do and so much better than medication or worse - having diabetic complications down the road. I would never have known without being able to have a constant monitoring system! It’s very easy to place the monitor and painless. And the app is easy to use. This will change my behavior and prevent so much pain and problems in my future. I cannot recommend this high enough if you’re pre diabetic or if you just want to have your eyes opened regarding what your sugars are on a real time basis. The best fifty bucks I’ve ever spent! It’s now 7 days later. The monitor stopped working on day 6. I called Amazon and they gave me a full refund without any problems. However, I still think the information was life changing for me. I would have liked more time to try different foods to see my body’s response, so I will try another one. I’m going to keep my rating at 5 stars because of how incredibly enlightening it was even though it only lasted the 6 days.

Decent value for the price, and eye opening results that will hopefully motivate you
First, let me say that I participated in a medical trial for 6 months in 2024 wearing a device similar to this, but it was a bit more sophisticated and from another manufacturer. Wearing it, and seeing the glucose readings it provided after consuming different food choices, and choosing to exercise, or not exercise, shortly after a meal was astounding. It changed my life. I was prediabetic and overweight when I began. After 6 months and striving to eat higher protein and lower carb/sugar, I had lost 30 pounds. I either rode my stationary bike or took a walk after dinner each night and those habits were all I needed to get myself on track. Again: WEARING ONE OF THESE HAS BEEN LIFE CHANGING FOR ME, so I'm sold on the concept overall. Fast forward to now--it's been 10 months since I've been 'on my own' and I'm recovering from an unrelated surgery and haven't been able to exercise the way I'd like for about 4 months. I still eat primarily high protein, low carb/sugar though--that hasn't changed. I wanted to try one of these OTC cheaper devices just to see where things stand with my body. I decided to try this one and applied it after my shower on a Sunday night. It lasted until Friday afternoon, after a day at the pool and wearing sunscreen, even though I tried to avoid getting sunscreen near it. I already know from wearing the ones last year, that they stay on longer (usually 7-10 days) if you cover them with a nice sized waterproof bandage. The one I wore last year had a little patch that could cover it but it wasn't enough in my opinion, so I still used the bandage too. These don't come with any kind of a cover, fyi. You'll want to avoid hot baths/showers, body lotion, etc. to help it stay on your skin for the duration if possible. A little disappointed that it didn't make it a full week, but I got enough insight over 5 days or to still make it worth it for me.Some other notes after wearing this the past week:*The app is perfectly fine, and I had no issues using it. You have to leave it 'open' on your phone to get updated readings. It takes an hour to calibrate after you connect it to the sensor, via blue tooth. The readings seem fairly accurate as far as I could tell, and were in line with what I saw wearing the more sophisticated device last year. It's enough information to see what foods do to your sugar levels, and you can see in real time the effects of exercising after a meal as well. The app gives you information, targets/goals, and prompts you a bit to examine your habits in relation to the readings you receive. A bit of 'coaching' is there if you're interested. You can log your food and exercise if you wish to correlate those with the glucose readings, but I was less interested in that since I already understand how those choices affect the results.*It's super easy to apply--just a tiny sting (more like a little pinch) and it's in. You'll need to swab the back of your upper arm with an alcohol pad or cotton ball/alcohol before you apply it to clean, dry skin. Once you apply it to your skin, you scan it with your phone to pare the sensor with the app.*It's small and unnoticeable for the most part. Perfectly fine to wear sleeping, and covered by any shirt with a sleeve.*I can't compare this with the other OTC option as I haven't tried it, but I'd say for the price, and receiving 2 units in the box (each lasting hopefully a week or so), this is a great option to get some honest feedback and motivation if you're looking to make some progress on taking better care of yourself and making better food and exercise choices. One thing I will say is that starting out with this type of device last year, it took me a few months to really start to see changes in my readings/numbers, and health. I had elevated blood sugar from years of eating poorly, and that doesn't change just because you eat well and exercise for a week. It takes time for real change, but it definitely worth it!

Excellent product - loved it! Everyone over 40 should try it
First and foremost, this is an excellent product and I used it to make sure I was healthy and not potentially diabetic.I have an iPhone 15 and after I very easily applied the sensor (didn’t feel a thing) I connected it. (give permission to connect via Bluetooth or it won’t work)Everyone needs to know that this product is NOT for diabetics, but it absolutely could be used by anyone that wants to make sure they are not a almost diabetic and then improve their health because it gives you immediate feedback about your eating habits and your body’s reaction. If your glucose spikes after eating and doesn’t come down for a very long time, then you have a problem. It could also be used by aType2 diabetic that does not have insurance or approval for a CGM because it is far cheaper than other CGM‘s. At least you would eliminate most fingersticks and be able to tell when you are too low or above 200 as that is the limit for this product because again it is not for diabetics and does not require a prescription. My experience was absolutely fantastic, even as a healthy person. I was able to track my glucose spikes, depending on which food I ate, I even noticed the effect of a slight glucose spike in the morning when you wake up, which is natural. It’s absolutely gave me wonderful insight into my internal workings and my own health. Excellent product. Everyone should try it once especially if you are over 40 or feeling sluggish or you’re just not healthy and want to know more
