HOSE TO FIT VAX 2000 4000 6130 6131 6140 7131 8131 9131

Brought this for my mum, after it broke and she was planning to buy a brand new hoover, so glad I checked Amazon, it fits perfect, well made, and does its job...plus it saved my mum buying a new hoover out of her pension..

I brought this as a replacement spare for my Vax 6131 as the original hose has been getting shorter over the years of use. On testing I can say that it fits well so suction quality is just as good. I am mildly disappointed that it is shorter than my original hose as it is now, having lost some 5 inches from the connection end over the years. If this hose had been as long as my original hose when new I would already have made a permanent switch over. As it is I'll just wait until my original hose becomes shorter than this one before switching.

The hose fits and functions well though doesn't have the same feel and flexibility of an original Vax hose it replaces... but the price difference easily makes up for this.

Item arrived quickly, well packed and in excellent condition.It fitted my model pet 5 perfectly. The hose looks and feels of good quality and well made, also it is longer than the orignal one, which makes it easier to clean the starircases.Overall I am happy with this purchase and I would say it is a great value and quality product!

Please be aware that the quality of the hose may depend on which seller you buy it from. Yes, it fits my Vax 6131. But after only 18 months it has now split apart. And I am not using it every day and always tend to look after my things. So disappointed that it didn't last long. I don't think it has served the purpose for a reasonable length of time- new hose every 18 months?...An original from Vax may cost twice more but at least the original that came with the vacuum lasted much longer than 18 months and didn't split apart like this..As usual- pay cheap, pay twice.

Fits my Vax canister 6131 perfectly and the suction is better than the original. The major gripe I have is that it’s a good 18” shorter than the Vax original. Story of my life.

This replacement hose fit perfectly our Vax. It is as long and as bendy as the original. The only thing I would change is the end. The original hose had a slanted end which was made getting small bits easier.
