I have an older set of these and the audio was getting distorted when the volume was loud, (they were about 15 years old) and adjusting the levels didn’t help. I was reluctant to try these as they looked almost exactly the same but im glad i did.Hooking these up (pictured on the left) they sound much better. The highs come through along with the lows. The sound quality has greatly improved and i can turn the volume up way louder than i would ever need to without the audio being distorted. One minor gripe is that the adjustment pots are a little touchy. A little goes a long way but once you have them set they don’t move so i can live with that.For the price of these you can’t go wrong.

Using these to add a powered subwoofer to the unused rear channels of an older OE car stereo that I have. For lower frequencies they seem to work fine. Cannot comment on how they work with the full spectrum of frequencies but for adding a sub they work great.
