Lev-Tec Tile Leveling System 1/16" Clips (500pc)

The off-brands that I have tried are inconsistent. (I ran out of these, wanted to finish the job and bought some from the orange box store). These aren’t that much more, they install without breaking and break off when cleaning. Very consistent results.

First time using a product like this - homeowner DIYer, 2nd big tile job - 3 wall plus ceiling shower. Overall this is a nice product that I would likely use again. I'm glad the wedges are reusable.They work great for leveling - my lippage is near zero. Very happy with that. I got the branded tool to go with the kit and it went well.I had two issues using these. It may be user error.1) I had a hard time getting consistent grout joint widths, even with this spacer put in. I used a 8" hexagon tile - perhaps that was too ambitious for my skill level and/or the intended use of the product. The tiles moved too much relative to each other, and I regularly had tapered or fat joints. I supplemented with more traditional spacers to help, and that was an improvement when holding the tile by three or more places.2) About a dozen of the leveling spacers, when struck with a mallet, left vertical pieces embedded in the joint. My assumption is this is from excess thinset getting into the joints. Again, user error, but once they are in there, they are in there. I don't really have a great plan how I am going to get these pieces out again (dremel? oscillating tool? grinding wheel?).So if you are more careful with cleaning out the joints you may bypass that and have better luck. I'd be interested to try the spin down levelers for comparison.

Never used clips before but needed them for 6x18 tiles in a shower. They made the job easier and it looks professional. No complaints at all. Make sure you watch some videos and know how to use them.

An awesome product that makes large format tile easier to use with little to no “lipping “ usually associated with these types of tile.

Great system and works fine-----just make sure you clear out all the thinset from around the clips or you'll be digging the plastic out of the grout gaps after thinset hardens.

These clips are more flexible than other brands on the market. They break less and they have a very low profile base that goes behind the tile.

Used these for kitchen tiles that were 6x36. They worked amazing and we have no lippage.
