This RedTiger Dash Cam is literally plug and play. It came with a SD card ready to go. Download the App and sign in and there it was live footage that went into a stored file on my iPhone. That's all there is to it, I wanted something simple. Installation was a breeze. They even pack a little plastic tool in the box to hide the wires behind your rubber door seals and plastic trim. The mount to the windshield is well thought out with a window cling that is super sticky. Then put the camera on that. Just be sure to figure your placement beforehand with the camera loose. They even put an extra cling in the box. I actually bought 4 of these to put in all my vehicles, at this price it's super affordable. What's also amazing and I didn't realize it has lane departure warnings and other warnings. I didn't know it until I was driving and it talked to me. The technologies is amazing. I have been running the cameras since December 2024 and check it occasionally by opening the App, it's all good and they are working flawlessly. Highly recommend!

So far, so good. Pretty easy installation using the OBD hardwire cable kit and the 4k video is crisp and clear. The instructions aren’t the most user friendly but both a call and an email to support were responsive right away. 5 minute, 4k video clips can take 3 or 4 minutes to download to your phone so you need to keep the motor running while you do it to keep the wifi connection up, which isnt the most stable, anyway. Why dont they use Bluetooth? One other thing to note, dont use the QR code to download the app, go to the app store and download the one with the black camera icon, not the red one (iPhone).

So far it has worked very well connected to my iPhone. I’m still considering looking at one with a built in display but this one is extremely high resolution on my iPhone screen and like it so far!

It's currently the middle of winter and I don't want to spend more time than necessary installing an item that is important, but not absolutely necessary. I tested it on my bench using a power supply and this is what I've found out.Setting up on my iPhone wasn't particularly difficult, but it wasn't falling off a log easy. THAT'S on me... my phone is really cluttered due to having to replace a few smart watches and Car Play dongles. Adding any new device takes multiple attempts, but as far as I can tell, it's no worse than any other device.So I can't really evaluate most of the functions, but what I can evaluate is that it does work. For what it is, it's not bad. Some things that are universal and can't be avoided on any model are that you have to mount it in a place cleared by the wipers for a clear picture, but that can obscure your vision or interfere with a toll device or an insurance company provided tattle-tale, and I have both. Also, the nature of taking the image through angled glass can cause distortion. And of course, there's the wires. I wish it had a rechargeable battery and you could bring it in to charge it once a week or something. But again, that's for any one of these, not just this model. But the image is for information, not the latest Hollywood or Y'allywood blockbuster. What little I've tested, it seems more than adequate for "see, it was the guy in the pickup truck passing me that was speeding" or "no, he didn't have his lights on at the time of the accident." Both things that have happened to people I know, which is why I wanted one in the first place.It comes with a memory card which can be replaced for more capacity (the included one is pretty good, but it's one of those "too much is just right" things.) or archiving. Because of the way I'm testing, I can't tell how well it goes into standby mode or how much power it takes while in standby. I also can't test the accuracy of the GPS functionality.So even though it's Not Yet Fully Tested, I would say that it's a pretty good unit that's reasonably priced as well.

I’ve never done a review on a product before but for this product I am going to make one. The first day I installed it wouldn’t go into “parking mode” even though it was hardwired. However the second day it finally started going into parking mode but would change the time of my recordings. For example, it was 5:00 pm and the recordings would say 8:00 am. I don’t know how but I think that problem is fixed because it hasn’t happened anymore. Just as all of that got fixed, an audio problem came up. Even I have recording audio turned off, it will still record the audio unless I go in the app and manually turn it on and off again. The quality of the recordings is very good but just too many problems to be dealing with.
