Good games for 6 year old
My grandson pulled the charger out to hard from the game piece and now it will not charge. Is there anything we can do to fix the gamer?

This was a great buy for my five-year old grandson
This little game works great for my five-year-old grandson. He even dropped it off the second story porch, and it still worked.

For the price, just above acceptable
With this item, 100% of its value lies in the price. If it were even $10 more, it would quickly tank and hit the 2 star range. It does everything as advertised, although it doesn't do any of it great. This is the kind of item you leave in the car for little kids to play with when they forget to bring something with them. Just keep it in the car.The high point for this item is the look and feel when it's not on. While very plasticky in feel, everything is smooth and feels good. The buttons arent sticky and press without much tactile feedback. It is extremely light, which makes sense with how there's likely not much inside it at all.The screen is easily the low point for the item, as it gives off a weird parallax effect when looking at it. It reminds me of polarized sunglasses. Turn it one way it its very light, turn it the other and it's darker. Colors distort when viewing at slightly off angles. Since we see with 2 eyes from different positions on our face, one eye sees lighter and one darker. Your eyes sort of adjust, but it's about the cheapest screen they could source. The game are very rough and cheap. Most are rip-offs, or at very least, derivative of other games, yet none of them play as smoothly. The processor feels so slow that it can't smoothly play most games that have motion without chopping badly. The original Game Boy in 1988 had what felt like a dramatically faster processor than this. It's that bad. As far as the gameplay, some are OK, some are boring and some I couldn't turn off fast enough. None of them have instructions or button assignments so you figure a lot out as you go. I'd have settled for 10 decent designed games over the 218 games that looked like they were each coded in about 30 minutes in a beginners coding class in elementary school. The games are a huge weak point. The sound is very tinny, as expected. Most of the games have repetitive music that's highly annoying so we turned it off. The dial to adjust the sound must be digital vs analog, as its non-linear and hard to even step up or down. There's a delay when you make adjustments which means it's always too loud or too quiet by the time you hear it. I mean, come on...how hard is it to make a volume dial? The item was slightly smaller than I expected, but again, at the price point, I'm not really sure what I expected. See the picture with it in my hand for sizing. My hand wears medium gloves in a hospital.I was shocked to find that it comes with a rechargeable battery. Strangely enough, there's no battery gauge, be it on screen or via external lights. You don't know it's dying until it's dead. It comes with a cable for USB charging but like cell phones nowadays, no charging brick.All-in-all, this is an easy 3 star. If they had simply added an updated processor, or spent some real-time designing games that were fun, it could have gained a star with ease. However, as said before, you can't complain, for the whole package can be had for less than your family of 4 can eat at a fast food restaurant. The definition of a leave-behind handheld to keep in the car. If your kid accidently leaves it somewhere, it's so cheap that it's not really a loss. Everything's got it's market.

Keeps the grandkids busy
This handheld game is a pretty good low-cost toy to entertain kids, either at home or in the car. There is a good variety of games included, and the kids seem to enjoy it.
