Setup instructions not well written.
This replaced another brand that failed in less than 2 years. Used less shelf space than the old one.

Faulty
Nothing in the box. Came sealed. I had to cut open the seals. Ac cord, Ethernet cord, no router.

So far, so good
I have been purchasing Tenda routers for years now. My last one was 10 years old....and it's still working.I wanted to upgrade because I figured the newer one would be a little better performance wise.I have not been disappointed at all. It seems to be about 30-40% faster than my older Tenda. The range is good too. Took a couple of days for it to normalize it felt like. If you have ever had a Tenda you know the interface and how to set it up...very similar across all of their routers. The build feels a little flimsy but it's not like your going to be moving it.

Simple to use and setup, few features creates a good budget router for simple needs.
Simple to use and setup, few features creates a good budget router for simple needs. This is an inexpensive (currently $42 with a coupon) router designed for people with basic needs. Taking it out of the box is a quick reminder - those antenna do not bend. You cannot aim the antenna to try and improve reception as I can on my primary router. The rest of the unboxing and setup was inconsequential and simple.I don't even recall if this came with an intstruction manual or basic user guide. It's that simple to setup. As soon as it is plugged in your wifi devices will see a SSID of "Tenda", the brand name, out there. Connect to it. On Windows, which does a connectivity test, it automatically sends you to the router setup page. The router setup page asks three questions, which even for someone who does not know the first thing about their internet connection, you can't answer wrong. And with that, BAM! you have wifi internet access through as far as the signal can reach. There's few advanced controls once it is setup. All modern routers transmit at 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. There is an advanced control that lets you see each radio frequency with a different SSID, or see a single SSID and let your device pick the frequency. There's also a checkbox that creates a guest network SSID, which you can isolate or not from your own network. The advanced setup that I need was to turn off the router functions and enable this as just an access point. I already have another router that does all the management. I just need access points in other parts of the house where the radio frequencies drop out. That was easy to do as well. Just go back to the setup page and there is a button for "Access point".If you are the type of person who sets up their router once and leaves it until it locks up and needs a reboot, this is a great router for you. If you just need an AP or repeater in a corner of the house this is a great router (the ethernet ports are active in repeater mode!) But, if you're trying to tweak performance settings or need rate shaping, controls, etc, skip this one - and expect to pay twice as much.

Tremendous Unit
This is remarkably easy to setup and the range is impressive. The app works great as I have this paired with a Tenda Mesh system as well. Connectivity is great, zero drops or holes in the coverage. Speed is also awesome, keeps up with my 1gb service, I get around 7-800mb down.5/5
