Left hander friendly !The display flips - you read that right left handers dont have to read in an awkward way because the displays flips.(In california ) Accurate temp readings. Cook a lot of steaks and the temp displayed is Accurate to the doneness of steak (I like rare bf like medium rare)Magnet is strong and this sticks really well onto our fridge, we have a megnetic spide rack on the side of the fridge and I keep this on the fridge out of sight under neath the spice rack.Love the large display. No fuss reading, dont even need my glasses because its large and not blue, yes im very happy the display is red i cannot focus on blue lights even with glasses. (I cant read blue signs either, most cant, blue is the hardest color to get into focus)For me it wipes clean.Love this wonderful meat thermometer.

At its core, you insert a probe and you get instant temp reads for meat. But, this unit has other features that set it apart from a basic probe. It's magnetic. So, I just toss it on the side of my fridge and it's ready when I need it. No more digging through the drawer. It's supposedly waterproof. That makes it easy to just scrub with soap and rinse. It just needs 1 AAA battery (included) and you're off to the races! Auto on and auto off when you close the probe.

Super easy to use, just flip the probe out and the device turns on right out of the box. Temperature reading updates immediately, and I have full faith in the accuracy of the readings thanks to the NIST-traceable calibration certificate included with it as well. The temperature reading is a bold, bright red. Seems great to me, I love it so far!

I bought this intending to use it solely for bbq/grilling but unfortunately the display is very difficult to see in bright sunlight. My original review was critical of this fact, but the seller never claimed it was a backlit display, so it's my fault for buying the wrong item. The seller contacted me after my initial review and gave me a refund, even though there was nothing wrong with the product, it's just not what I should have bought for my purposes.

Best purchase. Bought a second the first works so well. Super fast reading. Both pens are within .5 deg of each other for accuracy. I did calibrate each one which was simple. Bought a cheapo one which pulled apart after 3-4 cooks. Worth it to spend a little more for better quality.

I'm a long time Thermapen owner and advocate currently have two models, but needed an instant read thermometer for our vacation property and didn't want to put the same investment into something that might grow legs, so to speak. This thermometer works as quickly as my most modern Thermapen for 1/4 the price.

Easy to use and read, thought I do my cooking indoors so I can’t speak for outside. I’m not the best at cooking with meat, still learning, so this has been really helpful for me in verifying that what I make is fully cooked. I definitely recommend!

This thermometer is awesome! I use it for everyday cooking and is quick and accurate! The magnetic functionality is great to stick to fridge or stove - I didn’t even notice for a week that it was magnetic because the design doesn’t make it obvious - but it’s great! Easy to wash off, excellent item!
