This isn’t worth the money. It’s messy and you can’t use any juice you want. I’ve use different juices which is just flavored ice cubes and ice cream and not sure how they call it dip and dots when it does not make actual dip and dots.

Not really that exciting
My daughter wanted this for Christmas so I bought it for her. She used it once to freeze little ice balls, and set it aside to gather dust. I thought it would come with some mixes or something, but it diff so not. So I guess you would have to look up some recipes and buy the ingredients to really make dippin dots.

Don't buy it...
I bought this for my 7 year old after she begged me for it for Christmas and her birthday. Don't buy it! It was a hassle to use. We made mixes for each of the containers at one time. After using one container we moved to the second. Unfortunately, this mix had already stared to gel (almost like instant pudding) and would not come out of the spout let alone fill up those little dots. We had more on the table and the outside of the tray than actually in the tray. I bought every flavor they had. Unfortunately, we won't be using them. After freezing the dots my child's first comment was,"Mommy those aren't dots." Children really expect them to look like the nitrogen frozen Dippin' Dots; far from it! They don't come out as dots at all. Rather, they come out all connected together in the shape of the trays. Parents you're better off buying and making the those old popsicle molds. Those are hassle free and much easier to consume!

Dippin dots
This was a gift to a 10 year old. He used it often and became confident in serving others. This is a good item for children who appreciate having a finished product that is comsumable, and need not be stored or dusted, or bathed and fed... It teaches them to follow directions, and some social skills in sharing with others. ( It also provides parents with an idea of how interested the child is in the area of kitchen creations.)

Fun to make
This was a gift I gave for Christmas. They used fruit juice and loved the outcome. Adult help is needed.

Great gift
My grandson loved it all though I'd honestly just save some money and buy small dot molds🤷

Dots don't separate
Recipes included use juice, the dots conglomerate and didn't separate. You end up with Popsicle type treat reminiscent of stroopwaffels... Using heavy cream with sugar and vanilla flavoring yielded a better result.
