CRKD Nitro Deck - Professional Handheld Controller Deck with Zero Stick Drift for Nintendo Switch and Switch OLED (Rocket League Silver Edition)

This is a cool-looking hand-held Nintendo controller. It has all the necessary features that you will need and some pro ones as well. It has gyro, rumble, the main switch buttons and even 4 extra programmable paddle buttons at the back. The controller has a lock mechanism that will keep your switch locked in the controller at all times and a kickstand. There are 2 passthrough USBC ports, 1 for input (charging) and 1 for output (displaying on a screen) at the back positioned nicely to allow the kickstand to work in conjunction. It is also very ergonomic, it is easier to hold and play in handle-held mode for longer than the default switch controllers if you have adult hands.The nice thing about this controller is that you can change the thumbsticks from domed to concaved depending on your liking. All you have to do is to pull them out. The buttons are nice and tactile, and it has an amazing feeling D-pad, I think the standout D-pad will make playing games like fighting games really good.Overall this controller is great and comes with a cool design, especially for Rocket League lovers.

While this works fairly well technically, the connection was good, latency seems fairly decent, the kickstand is nice and strong, and I particularly like the signature deep see-through backlight button; it looks really cool. I have a few issues with the product, especially at the £60 price point.The first thing I noticed was its very cheap plasticy hollow feel, it doesn't at all feel premium in the hands and infact feels like a cheap childs toy. This extends to the buttons, which, while they actuate and work fine, all feel hollow and cheap.Next is the technicality of the sticks that, while having a good amount of travel, have a small dead zone at the centre of the stick and a medium-sized dead zone at the end of its travel; neither is huge, but they are there, and the outside one is bigger than I would consider to be acceptable. I also just don't like the feel of either of the sets of thumb caps; both have pretty horrible-feeling protrusions, with the concave ones (which I would usually prefer) feeling particularly bad under the thumb and also being too small.The final thing I have a problem with is the lack of power supply pass-through, which just makes using the thing a notable inconvenience.It's ok, and at £30 I would have said sure for £60, though this really is hard to recommend.

Very comfortable to hold. Very handy equipment. Keeps it connected and no messing around. Looks amazing to.

The Rocket League Nitro Deck from CRKD is a decent piece of kit which transforms any model Nintendo Switch into a handheld beast. From a design perspective the Nitro Deck looks amazing, with it's black and white Rocket League logos, and it feels comfortable in the hand also. However, because it's completely made of plastic and doesn't have an internal battery, it does feel a little lightweight on first impressions.From a feature perspective however this device has a lot going on although the included instructions don't really explain anything aside from pairing process. To learn about how to use all the features you need to scan the QR code which will take you to an online user guide. From here you can learn how to update the device firmware, hook the device up to a TV, program the back buttons & triggers, use the Turbo features and also adjust the LED brightness and rumble feature. In addition, there is also a CRKD app that can be downloaded, but that requires an account to be created in order to use it.Performance wise the Nitro deck is great. The buttons are responsive and don't feel spongy to the touch. The joysticks are precise and show no signs of latency on their input, and the back buttons are well placed making them easy and comfortable to use. The rumble feature is a little weal for my liking, but I haven't yet tried any of the other settings other than the default, so hopefully that will help improve things.Overall this is a cool piece of kit that helps the Switch 'level-up' in terms of both features and comfort.

There's no need for Bluetooth pairing or complicated setup processes; simply attach your Nintendo Switch or Switch OLED, and you're ready to play. The Rocket League Silver Edition design is cool, It not only looks great but feels comfortable to hold. The materials feel durable and premium.The controls are responsive and precise, making it perfect for fast-paced games like Rocket League or Super Smash Bros. There's absolutely no stick drift, which is a massive win for anyone frustrated by traditional controllers.
