Powerful, Realistic, Problematic Loading/Firing
This is a really cool toy. Very realistic, other than the red color. The gun is weighty, but not heavy. Feels well made. It comes with a mock holographic sight that isn't very useful at all in the bright daylight, but it looks cool. Adjustable stock is also very realistic. Mag drop, functioning charging handle, and even a forward assist that moves though I don't think it does anything. The gun come with plenty ammo that are very simple to hydrate and use. It also has a functioning safety/semi/auto selector. And this thing is powerful! Eye protection is a must! And do not let kids shoot each other point blank or they'll have whelps. It really does sling those orbs out fast and hard. It's not a toy for small children. My gripes are that the loading system is odd. Instead of a hopper the magazine feeds upward into the action. You have to pull the charging handle back for "10-15 seconds" before firing. Well it doesn't really indicate whether it's ready or not. You just have to pull it back for a while and hope you're loaded, and if the drum magazine (mine didn't come with the standard magazine pictured) isn't full loaded then you'll really have problems. Also, a lot of the orbs shatter on the shot. Shooting full auto wasn't nearly as fun as it could be because so many rounds come out in pieces.Still, it's a fun toy. Not something you'd want to run with in some kind of war simulation, but fun to play with in the yard.

Very well made. Solid.
For a plastic "toy" this thing is solid. It just feels like quality all the way through. The value here is really good. I would say it's close to the size of the real deal. It fires the gel balls perfectly either on semi auto or full auto mode. Kids have a blast with this thing. Super fun. I fully recommend supervision with use though. It does sting if you get hit. Only complaints would be a lack of instructions as well as the magazines are a bit difficult to load. Needs to include a funnel of some type to aid in filling ease. Still highly recommend!

Excellent gel blaster, recommend safety glasses, wish it came with more gel balls
This is a lot of fun! Definitely requires more than one person with a blaster to really make a game, but even just target practice is fun. I would definitely recommend safety glasses and protective gear as being hit can cause welts if you’re really close or have on a lightweight shirt. The gel balls definitely run out quickly, and I’d recommend getting some just to refill. Haven’t actually timed how long you can go on a single charge, but seems like plenty of time for more than one game. Fires extremely quickly, so being prepared is essential. Definitely for kids/adults who are mature, but amazing fun!

Nice Gen8 gearbox gel blaster with some updated electronics
This is a gen8 compatible gel blaster and it performs as expected out of the box. It includes the regular magazine and drum magazine which is awesome at this price range. I can confirm that this is a nylon plastic frame and it's really ridged. It's much better than some of the cheaper gen8 clones that are all plastic. This blaster also comes with the mag prime along with the selectable single shot mode which is usually not included in a gen 8.This comes with all of the accessories that you would expect but there is one downside and the reason I took off a star. If you look at my third image I have the standard 7.4v battery included with most gen 8's on the left. In the middle is the standard upgraded 11.1v battery compatible with gen8's. Finally, the far right is the 7.4v battery that this blaster comes with. The power connection is completely different from every other gen8 that I have come across which means you will need to swap out the connectors to use an 11.1v battery in this blaster. For those that don't know the battery upgrade increases the firing speed of the blaster. Spring upgrades improve the FPS of the gel balls, and a metal barrel increases the accuracy. I have not taken this completely apart yet to see what kind of gears it has, but I have taken it apart enough to see that the standard barrel and spring upgrades will work with this.Overall, this is a great gel blaster with the drum mag at a good price. I just wish they used the standard connection for the power lead to the blaster. The images in the manual and on this listing show the proper connector so that was a little disappointing. Easy to fix but a pain to have to do it.

realistic looking - 11 shots a second!
this gel blaster is seriously impressive! it’s got such a realistic look that my friends couldn’t believe it was just a toy. the plastic body has this heavyweight feel to it, which really adds to the experience—it doesn’t feel cheap at all. i love how the drum mag holds a ton of gel balls, so i don’t have to keep stopping to reload during games. it shoots fast & pretty accurately for what it is, which makes it great for quick skirmishes. the battery lasts long enough for a few rounds, but i’d still suggest grabbing a spare if you’re planning to play all day. the red light is a cool detail, especially for evening games, even though it’s mostly for show. this thing has been a total game-changer for outdoor battles with friends—definitely worth the 5 stars.

Expensive
This is expensive but OK it looks nice but the plastic feels cheap. It has safe, single and full auto firing functions. It came with 2 mags, orbys, battery, safety glasses and instructions. You can spend about $30 more and get a full metal one that's 3s capable and you can spend around $40 for one that shoots just as hard with the same functionality as this one so it's expensive for what you get. I'd shop around.

Fast shooter
This is a Gen 8 model with upgraded internals so it can shoot semi-auto without having to pull back the charge level. Overall, It is priced about $5 less than models with equivalent performance. When you add the semi-auto function into that, this is a great price.
